    Laptop - Tips and Info

Upgrading your systems memory can in some cases increase laptop battery life run time. If your laptop is constantly running out of physical (RAM) memory it will have to utilize the swap file which resides on the hard disk. If your system is running efficiently however (i.e. you do not receive virtual memory notifications) with the amount of memory you currently have, then increasing the memory in this case may actually reduce battery life since each memory module requires electricity to run.

I don't understand what you need help with.. If you buy a laptop with like 4GB of RAM, that should be fine. Buy anything less and you're stupid since it's so cheap. Or you could get a nice Asus, as I noticed you linked to some.

I think you missed the point.

He was trying to say having more RAM would increase power efficiency. Like I said though, seems like a marginal benefit at best if what he's saying is even correct lol.

Either way, he's banned now though so probably best to just let it die lol

Its an ad post. Adding more ram will just increase power usage all the time, so it doesn't really save you anything.
