Dividing California into 2 states

They are actually trying to make California divide into 2 separate states.
Northern and Southern.

This split would just be like the other states with Northern and Southern in their name.


I see no reason why they need to. I've been watching "How the states got their shapes" on the History channel lately, and it seems a lot of other states are trying to get divided up as well for cultural differences.

Doesn't really effect me, I'm in PA. A.k.a, not my problem.

 

That would be dumb. Having 51 states would annoy the ever living piss out of me.. OCD I guess.

 

If it were an even number of states I'd be fine but I think california is fine.

 

How ignorant! That's going to make me hate California even more now.

 

I don't like the idea of having 51 states, also they would have to add another star on the flag!! It would be rediculous

 

California isn't even the largest state lol, would cause too much controversy imo, doubt it'll happen

 

California is huge.. I had actually thought of this in the past, they should go for it.

 

I seriously doubt this would ever happen....and I bet most Californians wouldn't approve of this anyway.

 

Cultural differences? What an absurd reason to divide up a state. Instead of extinguishing the fire, they've just doused it with fuel and oxygen.

 

Why don't we just fucking divide California into pizza slices and open up pizza shops everywhere!? This is how fucking stupid politicians are rather than focusing on actual problems, things like dividing California get their attention.
