Ultimate Guide To Creating A Free To Play Low Crater Strength Pure
    ______________________________________

Introduction - Welcome to my first Runescape Guide. This guide should hopefully teach you the basics of creating a good Free-To-Play Low Crater Strength Pure. It can tell you some of the ideal stats a Strength Pure should have, what equipment you should wear and some of the special features that you can do when you have one.

This guide isn't going to be extremely long, I'm just pointing out the simple facts, etc. I'll also tell you how you can pk (player kill) in Bounty Hunter and ways to do so. So really it's all the information you'll need in one guide. Unfortunately, I will not be including pictures but you should get a rough idea of what I'm trying to say. Hope you like it.
    ______________________________________

What Is A Strength Pure - Summed up, a pure is an account which can stay at a low combat level by keeping certain skills low (Such as prayer and defence) but still be able to pack a hard punch. Once you've got close to or the perfect stats you can just sit back and enjoy the best quality of having a Strength Pure - Player killing.

Though, getting to that point is very difficult indeed and pushing boring to it's limit. Near the start you'll probably waste a lot of money of food, earning the money to get it and you'll also waste much time banking it and getting more. What I'm trying to say is - If you want to make a Strength Pure, be prepared to get bored.

For Strength Pures, you will usually have 40 Attack (For Rune Scimitar mainly) and a high Strength Level for a good hit. Other people may not want the 40 Attack, they may think it's not needed and it raises combat up way to much. So some could stay at 30 for Adamant or 20 for Mithril, etc. Anyway, next is about choosing certain stats.
    ______________________________________

Choosing Certain Stats - When your making your strength pure, there's always some stats you'll need to choose. People sometimes will keep all the stats they think are unnecessary to a limit so they can train main stats higher and stay in low crater. So i've pointed out the main three stats in my opinion, anyway.

    1. Prayer - To pray or not to pray? That is the question you must ask yourself. Some people will say no without a thought, this would enable them to reach level 80 Strength and beyond. However, if you decide to do pray then you might as well go for 31, this will allow you to get Ultimate Strength (Giving a 15% Strength Bonus).

You would also be able to do "Protect Item" which can be very useful for those who love going to player kill in Bounty Hunter. And helps if you have a very expensive item as it keeps the most valuable. If you want to go higher, some go for 43 Prayer. So they can do protect from Melee, Ranged and Magic. It's your choice.

    2. Ranged - Just before I start, I would suggest doing what is about to be said, as it is very useful. Some players would will go for 40 Ranged mainly for the Green Dragonhide Legs and vambs. They provide 25 stab defence, 18 slash defence, 27 crush defence. So like I said before, I think it's worth the time and wait.

    3. Magic - If your going for Magic then I'd suggest going for 32. At this level you'll be able to cast Bounty Hunter Locate and Varrock Teleport. The Varrock Teleport is always very useful to me and Bounty Hunter Locator is good when your player killing. I think that it's totally worth the work but once again, it's all down to you.
    ______________________________________

Ideal Pures - Like I mentioned earlier, when you've got to the right point on a pure, that's where the fun begins. But, what is the right pure? Bellow i've put down two examples of completed pures. There will be other types but in my opinion, these are the two best type of Strength Pures that you can create.

    Pure One (No Prayer)

    • 40 Attack.
    • 80+ Strength.
    • 1 Defence.
    • 1 Prayer.
    • 1 or 40 Range.
    • 32 Magic.

    Pure Two (31/43 Prayer)

    • 40 Attack.
    • 65+ Strength.
    • 1 Defence.
    • 31 or 43 Prayer.
    • 1 or 40 Range.
    • 32 Magic.

There we have it, my favourite two type of pures that you can create. Just a little tip - Stretch to the max when creating a pure. In other words, go as far as you can but don't make it so you can't get into Low Crater. But now, you've got the perfect stats, what should you wear when player killing? Read bellow for more information.
    ______________________________________

Playing Killing - What To Wear - Okay, you've got the stats now and your heading off to do some player killing (pking) at Bounty Hunter. Before you go though, ask yourself, "What should I wear?" Well, now i'll help you pick a good outfit you can use to do some good pking when you get there. Hope this helps you.

Weapon - You should have two weapons, you main weapon and your knock out (KO) weapon. If you have 40 Attack, you should use the Rune Scimitar as your primary weapon. It has the perfect blend of both speed and strength. If you don't have 40 Attack then pick the best Scimitar weapon available to you.

Amulet - When in low crater, the vast majority of people will have low defence (preferably 1). As a result, the Amulet of Strength will be the best solution. Some others will use the Amulet of Power but trust me, it isn't as good as it sacrifices +1 of your accuracy and adds it to your max hit. Amulets of Strength are also cheaper.

Helmet - For this helmet section you can choose an Iron Full Helmet. Obviously because at one defence Iron is the best armour you'll be able to wield. Or you can just wear nothing as iron doesn't give many bonuses. I wear it because I think it looks pretty nice, but everyone has there own opinion.

Body - For the body you'll have two choices. You can choose an Iron Platebody as it's the best armour for one defence or Monks Robe. But, I suggest only wearing the Monks Robes if you have 31 Prayer. Otherwise you should just stick to the plain Iron Platebody, I think it's the better choice as it's looks better, in my opinion.

Legs - Okay, now were onto the legs. Once again, you can select from Iron and Monks. Iron Platelegs/Plateskirt preferably if you have 1 Prayer but if you have at least 31 Prayer then choose the Monks Robe for the bonuses. But if you have 40 Range then I strongly recommend Green Dragonhide Legs.

Shield - Some players don't even wear a shield. For instance, if you've got a full inventory of food and you've not eaten any, when switching to KO weapon you'll have a problem. And some people complain if you have a shield while in Bounty Hunter. Anyway, if your going to wear any shield then choose either Iron Kiteshield or an Antidragon.

Hands And Feet - Once again, you have a choice, but only if you have 40 Ranged. If you do have the correct Range level then once again, I strongly recommend wearing the Dragonhide Vambraces and Leather Boots. If not, then just go for the plain old Gloves and Boots. You should now see why 40 Ranged is very useful.

Cape - You should normally wear a Team Cape (you choose what one) so that you can fight other players who have different team capes without having to right click and select attack, which is handy. But if your combat level is 55 and you want to be annoying, just wear a normal cape so other have to right click on you.
    ______________________________________

Your Inventory - As everyone knows, you only have 28 Inventory Spaces, so your going to have to use them wisely. Bellow, i've just done two examples of some Inventory's you could use for Bounty Hunter. Just a note, you should always keep your KO weapon at the top left space or the space right next to that.

    Example One - Food Only

    • One Rune 2H or Rune Battleaxe.
    • One Strength Potion (4).
    • 26 Lobsters or Swordfish.

    Example Two - Bounty Locate

    • One Rune 2H or Rune Battleaxe.
    • One Strength Potion (4).
    • 23 Lobsters or Swordfish.
    • 1-5 Air Runes.
    • 1-5 Fire Runes.
    • 1-5 Law Runes.

And there just two normal inventories that could be used when player killing at Bounty Hunter. There's obviously many more you could choose from. You can search some on google or just customize your own one. Just an example - You could go mad and have an inventory almost full of pots, etc. It's completely your choice.
    ______________________________________

Some Tips And Tricks - There's always things you'll need to know in Bounty Hunter. As you know, it's a very dangerous place and you could easily be pked at any moment. So, i've put together some tips and tricks that could help you when your inside Bounty Hunter. Hope you might learn something from these.

    • When selecting your inventory, get used to it. Test them out till you find one which is good and works. Once you've found a decent one try to remember it (maybe write it down) and you can use it time and time again.
    • Learn the switch between your normal weapon (For example, the Rune Scimitar) and your KO Weapon (Rune 2H or Rune Battleaxe, etc). Try and get this bang on so you can finish him off when he's on very low health.
    • Never safe. This is very dishonorable and if you do this people may back out from a fight which you might of been close to winning. Don't risk your chances, have a fair fight and do your best.
    • Try to put your opponent off. For instance, if they are speaking, ignore them. Also try to put loads of random speech such as "hkvnbkhokdnhj", this could distract them while you pull out your KO weapon.
    • Like most people, they'll kill others who are not there target. If you follow and also do this then never grab the loot immediately. As this will make it so you cannot leave for 180 seconds (three minutes) which is plenty of time to get pked. Maybe leave for a little, grab some more food then come back in before three minutes is up.
    • You can also do some team pking. To do this, simply invite many people to your clan (preferably people you know) and then go in as a team to Bounty Hunter. Then stand in one spot till a player comes and get your whole team to attack.

And there some things that I think you may find pretty helpful when your in Bounty Hunter. Also, I didn't mention that if you get the 180 Seconds leaving penalty, you cannot do the "Protect Item" prayer, meaning you will loose all your equipment and your well earned loot which you have just pked off someone else.
    ______________________________________

Starting The Training - Up to now, i've been mentioning things you can do once you've got to a very good a decent level. But not mentioned how you can get to that level. So now, get ready to get bored (I bet you will) because were starting the training. Anyway, let's start of small for the beginning.

Part One - The Noob Stage - Face it, your currently a noob with hardly anything to your name. But to be successful were going to have to change all that, obviously. The first thing your going to do (After Tutorial Island) is getting all your equipment. Buy a couple sets of Full Iron, some Strength Amulets and some Scimitars.

Also, were going to be doing Mage to start of next. So your going to need some Magic Equipment for that. Buy some type of armour (if you can) and a few runes. Buy a reasonable ammount as were leveling up to 32. Also buy enough runes for about one hundred Varrock Telleports so you can save some time for transportation.

Part Two - Mage - If you had bought some, put on your magic equipment and head over to Lumbridge, this is where most of your magic training will be held at. Firstly, cast air strike on cows and chickens till you reach level 13, allowing you to cast the Fire Strike spell. As I said before, use Air Staff for the free runes.

If you were training on cows, you could collect them and sell them to crafters, this isn't a bad way to get some money for starters. Also, if you were training on chickens, you could simply pick up the feathers and sell them later on. Also, if you've run out of food, you can use the meat obtained from killing cows and cook it.

Now, get out all your fire runes and keep on your air staff. Now, cast the "Fire Strike" spell until you have reached level 32 Mage. There's many places you can train to reach this goal. For instance, you could choose White Knights which come in three levels, 36, 39 and 41. Now, your probably thinking "I'll get owned".

Don't worry, at the White Knights Castle there are many obstacles to hide behind, such as tables, chairs and prison bars. Another good place you can train is at the Monks. This has got to be one of the best training places in Free-To-Play for those who are fairly new. There is also no need for food as they heal you if you ask nicely.

There are no obstacles to hide behind but like i've just said, if your low on health, ask nicely and your back to full health. Problem is, in many worlds this area will be fairly crowded since, as I menioned earlier, it is known to be one of the best training places for Free-To-Play charactors, sometimes even for those who are members.

You could also try training at the Barbarians (who are level seventeen) in their Longhall. It is very easy to kill them as there are obstacles everywhere. This area can also be crowded alot, but there are enough Barbarians to go round. Just be carefull of the Barbarians which use range as they'll probably end up killing you.

Finally, you could also try heading down to the Stronghold of Security where the is a level 27 Minotaur. These are good to train on as you can attack them from behind a fence, meaning you gain no damage to yourself. There also close to the reward room, so you can train for a bit then collect your reward straight after.

Part Three - Attack and Strengh to 15 - This shouldn't take that long to do. Firstly, put on your equipment. You should be wearing Full Iron armour and be wielding an Iron Scimitar. Firstly, you'll need to get both of the stats to level 10. To do so, simply train on either chickens or goblins, this should take no time at all.

Since I forgot to mention it above, once you've gotten to 5 Attack you should pull out your Steel Scimitar, if you have one ofcourse. Now, your Strengh and Attack are at level 10, you should now pull out your Black Scimitar for faster leveling. Now head over to the field of cows and train there till both levels are at 15.

Part Four - Ranged To 40 - Once again, the first thing you need to do is get your equipment. You could buy some ranged armour if you want but there's not really much risk of dying so just the bows could be fine. Now, pull out your Shortbow and range on chickens and cows. Switch to Oak shortbow at level 5 then Willow Shortbow at level 20.

Now, your at level 20. If you carried on training at chickens and cows the xp would be pretty bad and you'd level pretty bad. So, were going to head over to Barbarians. Go to there main hall and ranged till 40, there are many obstacles to hide behind, just try your best to avoid the Barbarians that use range as they could lower your health quite a lot.

If you do avoid them, you should get to your goal of 40 Ranged in not to soon at all. Also, i've forgot to mention that when you've reached the level of 30 Ranged you should swap to the Maple Bow. Now, you've got 40 Range, congradulations. You can now buy and use your Green Dragonhide Chaps and Dragonhide vambraces.

Part Five - Attack and Strength to Level 40 - You may be thinking that this is going to take ages but suprisingly, it's pretty fast to achieve this goal. Levels are only a few thousand xp away and only take a few minutes per level to achieve. Now put back on your good old iron armour and Black Scimitar then we'll start.

You should now go down to the Stronghold of Security and kill Minataurs which are level 13. They only hit ones mainly and rarely hit two's. They only have 10hp and also have a very low defence level, making them a very good creature to train on. They frequently drop iron arrows, after all the training you'll easy collect over 3,000.

There is a fishing spot very nearby in Barbarian Village, so you can minimize banking by bringing 500+ feathers, a fly fishing rod, a tinderbox, and a woodcutting axe and fish for your own food, then cook it. Don't forget to switch to your Admantite Scimitar at 30 Attack and your Rune Scimitar at 40 Attack. (If you really wanted to, you could train at the monks in the Edgeville monastery, but it's usually very crowded.)

Part Six - Strengh To Level 65 or more - Undoubtedly, this is the longest, toughest, and most patience-draining part of training your pure. At times you will feel it's impossible and will fully want to give up. I promise you that you will get extremelly bored and overall just fed up looking into a screen for hours on end.

If you get bored of all the strengh training, try and entertain yourself by doing something else. You could try and focus on some on the non-combat skills to earn money in a future date or maybe have a few goes at doing a mini game, etc. There's many things you can do if your getting bored of the training.

Probably the best place to train would be in the south room in the Stronghold of Security, with the minataurs. They are level 27 and have hardly any defence, making them a very easy target. Use salmon or tuna as food and bring runes for Varrock Telleports as this will decrease some of the time it takes to reach your goal.

Be very carefull that you do not train any attack or defence, this could result in you having to decrease a strengh level or two. Overall, you will have to gain approximately 450,000 Strengh xp for level 65. Once done, give yourself a pat on the back, get some pking equipment and head over to Bounty Hunter or where ever to start pking.

Very nice guide. Found an error:

Hands And Feet - Once again, you have a choice, but only if you have 40 Ranged. If you do have the correct Range level then once again, I strongly recommend wearing the Dragonhide Chaps and Leather Boots. If not, then just go for the plain old Gloves and Boots. You should now see why 40 Ranged is very useful.

Should be changed to "Dragonhide Vambraces".

Oh, damn. I'll change that later on. Anyway, thanks for all the support and comments, took me days to write it all. About pictures though, I can't add any really since I don't really have any and honestly can't be arsed to take them. But like someone said above, i've gone into a lot of detail so you can understand it anyway.
