P Mod Anyone?

I was wondering if you have ever been a player mod or do you know of anyone that is a player mod? How did they become a player Mod and what info can they give us to help us not get banned for RWT and other things like botting or what ever.... Any info you have or that you can get post it here and lets see what we can do about making P Mod Status and benefits knows through out this Forum.

I've had access to a Player Mod account for like a week. The benefits is just help, its like a special community, and they're all friends.

They have meetings in random locations, and roleplay reporting scenes, so like. they have one PMOD pretending to be a naughty player, and another pmod who explains how and what they should do in the situations.
They also have groups, named after the different elemental runes, you start off in Air. and work up.

Its quite odd, you get Game inbox messages all the time about community events and surgeries, and the attitudes of everyone around you changes.

 

I did not know that..so is it okay to walk up to a pmod and say, hey, are you a fire rune? Lol

I've never been one, however I know Spyike was.

 

My friend alex is a player moderator.
He tells me theres nothing special about it, you get a crown by your name that makes people annoy you 24/7 and you get access to a mod only forum.

He also proves that receiving a moderator invite is 100% by luck of the draw.
His account was banned for 2 years for scamming a dragon chainbody. He came back after 2 years of being banned and unlocked his account, then 4 days later he received a moderator invite. Proving (atleast to me ) that it's a 100% luck occurrence.

 

Shit if that is true banned account now a moderator lmfao..

 

P mod = same thing as normal player except the silver crown and the 48 hours mute button when you report someone.

 

Not to offend you or your friend, but thats untrue, my friend got mod then when they find out he used to have an old account on and old IP he was demodded.

Hmmm... I wonder if there is a "random drawing" and other forms of being promoted... Seems like there is something more to getting player mod then just a "random" I have had an account for over 8 years and I was EXTREMELY active every where on the game and on the forums etc... anyway i tried for litteraly years to get P-Mod and never was able to get it... oh and I was NEVER banned, muted, or anything on my account no black marks or anything so idk....

P mod invitations aren't given out at random for the most part. Members of the P mod community refer Jagex to trustworthy and plausible Runescape players, which may or may not receive an invitation from Jagex.

Also, I've heard sucking up to some particular J-Mod helps.

You become a part of a small community where people are friendly/help out a bit. You also get messages from other PMods about some meetings and JMods about some events (Like a botting crack down event. Where they watch a world for a bit then just hang out there and ban hackers)

You also, of course, get; a new crown, loads of attention, 48 hour muting option (same at report a player, you just toggle the mute option and report a player for whatever and they're then muted.), and ect.

 

1. Play a lot
2. Don't break any rules
3. -OPTIONAL- Kiss major jmod ass
4. Apply for mod on forums.

That's really about it. People think there's some intricate process but there isn't.

 

I am a P-Mod and .Karl pretty much said everything about being a mod. Nothing really interesting, you just get annoyed by noobs all the time. Since I've become a mod, I never talked in public because of all those noobs asking stupid questions and sucking up. By noobs, I don't only mean level 10s. I've had level 110-120 ask stupid questions and annoy me too. Duh...

Yes, I already botted on my computer and on my mod account. And I got like 2-3 accounts banned also. Nothing ever happened to my mod.

I was a PMod and to become a PMod (it was so much easier in the old days) is basically be a collector of PMod friends, I mean I found this level 60 PMod that was 11 years old, I gave him free stuff, I introduced other PMods to him, I became friends with them, then he asked me one day if I would enjoy to be a PMod // it was obvious that she asked all his friends that knew me, and him to recommend me to Jagex... and then I became PMod..

We didn't have Elemental Rune Groups, we had groups... The first month of PMod membership would be "Lumbridge Academy" group, and then you're given to a JMod group.

Nowdays it's much harder to become a PMod... I mean - you have to apart of 'the in' crowd, and suck up 100000% percent of the way. There hardly any new mods that weren't suggested by another mod (so that means they're stuck up), and there aren't really choosen at by being randomly choosen because you're nice anymore.

Maybe I should start playing RS again...

 

I wonder if they'll ever have a limit to the number of mods they can have? Like, do they have a certain player/mod ratio? The more new accounts made, the more people promoted? It'd be interesting to find out.

 

Idk if they will ever have a limit but i do think that it is getting harder and harder to become a P-Mod... I have talked to several P-Mods about it and it seems that there is a lot of mods.... also i know a few people that were mods but got demoted for stupid things like being acused of botting or scamming... i knew a mod that got hacked and he was demoted for it... so yea... idk but maybe there is luck for us yet

I think I remember seeing that their P-Mod numbers were pretty regulated, and that they accept new P-Mods in "waves" on the ripped P-Mod forums and the surgeries rip.

I cbfed to dig up the links, so don't ask.

 

I agree its obvious now that sucking up to them stands a better chance. Also, be nice of the forums and DON'T EVER tell people "this should be posted here" because thats WMB (too obvious). Instead, just answer the question and let some other person do that.
