Ava's or not?

I'm currently making an obby maul pure with 1 attack, 60 strength, 40 range and around 55 hp when it's completed. With those stats I would be level 33. But should I get Ava's device to save on pking costs, and sacrifice and extra 2 combat levels? Also, If I did get it, I would have +10% strength prayer which could help alot. Thanks.

 

Dont bother with prayer at these levels. Get slayer staff instead once you have high enought strength to not gain any combat levels from the 50 magic.

 

no, you shouldn't get it...

maulers aren't really supposed to use ranged...You can get i think a max of 65ish ranged at 99 str without gaining cb levels...i had an obby mauler....

You should get a sacred clay staff if you really feel like using something faster then a maul..but still strongish...

i would suggest you use a dagger with p++...maulers get boring quickly btw..the kills come really easily and its just clubbing your opponent and hoping for a high hit/poison damage-hit damage combo to kill them....

I had a mauler...was 63 str, 53 hp, 42 ranged, 40 mage...Had 27 kills, 3 deaths...

I got bored and now I am turning it into a 60 att pure...You will probably get really bored of a mauler tbh..
