    Best computer?

Hey guys. I'm planning on getting a new computer in the future and I was hoping to get the input of some of you. Without having a budget, what is the best possible computer to get and what accessories/add-ons etc? Thanks!

If you have a big social life, and have at least $1,000
to spend go for a Macbook or an iMac.

if you can get a REALLY good computer for $1,000 or under please hook me up with a website.
    I spent $4,200 on mine :\
but mine would have to be one of the best at the moment for gaming and web design

Don't buy a/an HP. I recommend custom building one. Don't get Vista. Stick with Windows7 or WindowsXP if you're going for a Microsoft feel. I recommend getting a Quad Core Processor unless purchasing the i7's, which is physically 4, virtually 4, totaling an 8-Core Processor. If running XP, stick with 4GB of RAM as they can only handle about 3.25GB's. If you are going to settle for Windows7, you should get about 12GB's of RAM running it on a 64bit O/S. For the GFX Card, I recommend getting 2x 1.5GB's of whatever brand is your preference. Hard drive space and number is user's preference..

    I recommend:
    Windows7
    Power Pack - 900W
    Processor - i7 960, 3.2GHz, 8MB cache, 4.8GT.
    Memory - 12GB DDR3 (6x 2GB) on 64x O/S.
Graphics Card/s - 2x 1.5GB in your choice of brand.
    Hard Drive Setup - 2x 1.5TB Internal.
Motherboard - Anything, as long as its DDR3 capable. It would benefit you if it contained an integrated 512MB-1024MB GFX Card for added performance.

This is in no way going to be cheap. The GFX Cards alone will set you back about $1,500 depending upon the brand. If you choose this road, make sure to have ~5 fans inside this thing. I recommend having cooling gel implanted into the system. Its liquid cooling and, to date, the most effective cooling method. Liquid cooling triumphs over air cooling in vehicles and therefore has been implemented into computer systems (obviously using a completely different method but still uses the liquid formula).

    Good luck!

Anyway, be more specific on "best". Are you talking gaming or?

If you have the cash then go with something maxed from alienware, or dell if you want something a little more toned down.

I bought a Sony Vaio NW-series 4GB RAM few months ago, it can run Crysis on high settings with quite good fps, depends what you want it for to be honest.

    Best computer?

I recommend custom building one too. This is the specs I suggest:

    Processor: Core i7.

    Ram: DDR3 12800 4GB to 8GB.

    Video card: GTX 460.

Hard Drive: Newer Solid State Drives.

    Power Supply: 1000W.

There's a lot more, but you can easily figure out the rest.

If you know a bit about computers, so you probably wouldn't be asking.
So you should order something that looks like this from a large company, such as alienware. (This is only for gaming, if you don't game you don't need this)

If you are buying from an online store, use the parts that look like these. If you are building, use these parts from these links.

Processor: Core i7 Extreme 3.33 GHz
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...15212&cm_re=i7_extreme-_-19-115-212-_-Product

    Ram: 12GB OCZ Platinum 1600 DDR3

Video Card: 2x HD5970 or Nvidia equiv (Fermi)
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161311&cm_re=HD5970-_-14-161-311-_-Product

Hard Drive: 2x 500GB Solid State Drive

    Power Supply: 1000W

    Case (if building): Antec 1200
This should bring you to about 3-4k Build, 5-6k Store Bought. But it will own all, literally. (I have one about 1/2 a step down). Have Fun.
