[College/Uni Students] Free AutoCAD, 3DS Max, Maya, etc.

So this is just some free-for-all knowledge to those that do not know, and are currently enrolled in college/university.

AutoCAD has been doing this for a while, but for those that do no know - they give their software to students for free (a three-year license mind you). They also have some tutorials apparently which I have yet to check out myself

You have a choice from an extensive variety of softwares including, but not limited to: A whole section for Entertainment Creation (3DS Max, Character Generator, Maya), Architecture/Engineering (a million variations of AutoCAD), as well as Mobile Applications.

If you are unsure of the legitimacy of this, just google "autocad student"... AutoDesk is the controlling company of all those softwares.

Anyways - I figured I would let everyone know as these are great little tools to tinker with!

 

Microsoft also gives away a lot of software if you are a student.

Not interested in downloading this on my personal computer, but I did use cloud based versions of these when in a robotics class. Pretty frustrating to learn the software but cool at the same time.
