Accounts I've done Season 4 placement games for. Some are paid jobs, and some simply for friends (free).

Things to note:

• Your first 5 games are undoubtly weighed heavier than your last 5 - proof can be seen all over reddit and also from my personal experience.
• If you lose to a team with an overall lower MMR than yours, it significantly impacts your placement.
• Winning streaks also impact your final end result.
• The HIGHEST you can place after your 10 placement games regardless if you were Challenger during season 3, is Platinum 1 - confirmed by Riot (for now).

Account 3: Platinum 1 (Diamond 4 MMR) Season 3

• Placement games: 7 wins and 3 losses
  
• Placed: Platinum 4 (gaining 28 LP per win)

Account 4: Diamond 2 Season 3

• Placement games: 7 wins and 3 losses

So it depends on the mmr of the opppsing team and yours? So meaning if you lose to a team that is ranked way lower than you are it will impace placement way more than losing to a team that is highly skilled?

I was Gold II, W W L L W L W L L W L, made silver 2 with 28 LP per win.

 

Last season I was Silver 2
W/W/W/W/W/W/L/W/L/L
Now I am silver 2..again :laugh:

Was silver 4 end of season 3

Ended up back in silver 4 for season 4 after placements, i am gaining 24 - 26LP per win an losing 14 - 15 LP per loss.

In my experience and according to "lolnexus" average MMR rating I began at around 1200 MMR on both teams, and on my final few games I was getting placed with high gold/low silvers and the average MMR of teams 1400 - 1450.

My friend also was silver 4 in season 3 and went 7/10 wins, and was placed in silver 2, he said he didnt lose until his last few games but.

I should also mention this is on OCE servers.

 

Offering my gold placements (guaranteed) got me a few customers...but I managed to only get one account to gold directly, only because the user's MMR was high enough preseason. I've had accounts go from 7/10-10/10 go to high bronze-mid silver, just because of MMR.

 

Ended off Season 3 as Gold 4, finished Pre-season as Gold 3.

Season 4 :

Placed into Gold 5

When I first got placed I went 5/5 and got into silver 4. I reasoned that I had won against bronzes, won against silvers and lost against golds and therefore placed into silver. And that's exactly what happened when I looked at my opponent's level. It's not that Riot's placement system weighs the first 5 games more heavily, it's just a natural phenomenon.

 

Can anyone explain how some guy on league of legends lost 10 games and managed to hit silver I?

I was silver 1 during preseason and was getting matched with plats/high golds at the end of my placements. Went 6-4 and got placed in silver 2. Not too bad I guess.

 

Im getting placed with season 3 plats/golds and they play bronze5-like. GG Riot.

 

Yeah, that's how some of mine felt. I thought the 4 minute gg calls would go away in that elo.. Guess not.

 

Silver 2 | 2-8 | Bronze 4

W/8L/W. Duo'd the first win, but just solo q'd the rest since I was impatient and my partner got off. Super frustrating since I finished positive in the losses where I played a carry lane (I always fill when 4th or 5th pick so I played a couple support games). I've gone 16-8 since then, currently Bronze 1 @ 25-30 LP/W.

P5 preseason.

Placed p3 after going 8-2.

I recieved 7 wins and 3 losses and was placed in Bronze, big disappointment. Especially since I carried EVERY SINGLE GAME

 

Most likely due to having a poor MMR season 3.
