Best Botting PC for the price?

Looking to expand my bot farm.

I am interested in running a lot of bots on one PC. I have looked into VPS but I am pretty unsure about these.

Currently I have one PC running 5 OSRS clients perfectly, while also playing CSGO, but this is my gaming PC that cost $1200.

What am I mainly looking for when shopping for a PC that will run a ton of clients 24/7? I know it has a lot to do with CPU and available memory if i'm not mistaken(if i am feel free to flame me).

I use Runemate if that makes any difference.

Links are greatly appreciated + maybe even a finders fee.

Looking to spend less than $1000, hopefully somewhere around $500 or so.

Best Botting PC for the price?

Should not be expensive to run a few clients. Can even run on virtual pcs.

    pcpartpicker

The new i3's are quadcore but you could easily get away with a Pentium (dualcore plus hyperthreading at ridiculous frequencies for like $65?!)
    1 stick of 8 GB ram...bam!

If you want super hobo forget the case, get a 400w PSU (prob get the EVGA one, don't want your baby exploding)

Heck I'll build it for you right now...assuming USD:

    System Builder - Pentium G4400 3.3 GHz Dual-Core - PCPartPicker

wow a 120GB SSD for $20...that's insane lol.
    There you go: $195 USD!

EDIT: Miiiiight want to buy a case, but this is max barebones.
EDIT2: Ok so for comparison, im using 15% CPU afk'ing NMZ with an i7-6500U (laptop) CPU, 2.50 GHz (dualcore, hyperthreading)(hyperthreading just lets you use your physical cores more efficiently essentially)
This isn't a perfect way to compare but for the sake of estimating: 15%*2.5 GHz = aprox 375 MHz CPU per runelite client...for safety lets assume you use more like ~600MHz when you include running a LIGHT script (assuming it's been written well with lots of rests, maybe someone with more experience in the newer bots can chime in, back in the day it was about ~1 GHz per client with SCAR + SMART client)

That CPU is a 3.3 GHz dual core so:
    3.3 GHz * 2 = 6.6 GHz
6.6 GHz/600 MHz = 11 clients (assumes zero overhead for windows but we did include some leeway in the 600 MHz per client)

My guess is this computer could handle about 10 clients. If you went hardcore and started limiting framerates (can you disable visuals entirely still? you could with SMART) and made sure your scripts were resting a lot you could probably run more.
Also my runelite is using about 350 MB of ram so one 8 GB stick is probably plenty.

    EDIT3:
PassMark - CPU Comparison Intel i7-6500U vs Intel Pentium G4400
That compares my laptop CPU to the one I linked you. Although *technically* mine has a higher passmark rating, in the singlethread rating the Pentium still wins which is the more important rating.
EDIT4:^as YoHoJo pointed out :) (ok this is getting out of hand)

@JudeTheDude Wow that was so helpful! I've never built a PC before, so if I order a cheap case, am I good to go if I order those parts? I'm not braindead and can plug things in to where they go / have friends who could if I got stuck.

    @YoHoJo
Thanks for those links, they helped out a bunch!

I would have a look for an used build with ddr3 memory. My knowledge is aged few months but ddr3 was about same performance as ddr4& new cpu are only 1-4% performance boost every launch cycle, or actually less than cuz moores law doesnt apply anymore. Point is, you could get yourself much better deal going with high-end haswell setup. If you're just going after parts, cheap out on case- its not worth spending extra penny on that. 300W psu should be enough, as u dont need a graphics card.
Depending on your local prices on stuff, i would have a look. In my region, used parts are super cheap. Nothing fancy as should be for server running bots.

whatever you do, dont use VPS- investment is a good decision. :)

Used is always an option too however I still find P4's on my local listing for $200 because people don't understand how quickly technology improves lol.
