Perm Banned on New HCIM after Ghostmousing <10k xp

It looks to me like jagex is going hard on people who use Ghostmouse now

I did
1-19 Agility
1-16 Mining

using ghostmouse and I received a perm ban 2 days later

This was really a what the fuck moment for me as it just came out of no where. The account didn't even get a relevant amount of experience and it just gets a perm ban rather than the 2 day typical ban

I made the account on Monday and it got banned this morning <9 am

I think there's a couple factors here rather than them cracking down harder on macroing. First up, it's a HCIM. The point is to fend for yourself and not cheat. I'm sure UIM's and HCIM's are watched to a certain extent. Second thing, fresh accounts are more prone to being banned due to age. For example, moderate botting on a main is less of a risk rather than making a fresh level 3 and botting straight away without legitimate play time.

So IMO, you just make a rookie mistake.

 

If that was the case my other accounts would have been banned too

Account status doesn't change the fact that they're botting, the 1st ironman to 1b total xp got perm banned for macroing for not that much experience

 

You could have just been really unlucky. But I'm certain that account age is a factor in being detected easily. Another thing is whether or not you legitimately play on the account or literally just bot. For example, quests and skilling little tasks for quest requirements. Play time is a factor as well I feel.

 

Must be the ip because i had like 10 accounts banned for macroing and every time i make a new one and bot it gets banned the same day later lol

I did see that at 19 agility it was stuck ontop of the agility course and i don't know how long it was clicking there

 

Vital information. We can't assume Jagex is cracking down when errors like this happen. There are plenty of people who bot and have been botting without a single temp or perm. It boils down to how you're botting and how your account is used when it's not botted. If you're smart about it, you can get away with it.

You see, that's ironic thing. That is how botting works. Just because Jagex claims to have some top-notch bot-detection system, it doesn't mean that it's true. They've been harsh on macroers and spread fear to keep it out of the game, that's their goal. They fear monger the community so they don't even attempt to do something as simple as auto-clicking. Obviously I don't have any proof of this and it's purely subjective. But based on my personal experiences, and experiences of forum users on various botting sites, it seems as though client detection and bot detection doesn't go as in depth as you think. I feel bot stopping heavily relies on the in-game community and J-Mods to report potential botters. There's a reason they don't reveal reveal the "conclusive evidence" when you're banned for macros. Plenty of players have been wrongfully banned for botting when in fact they were authentic players.

If you get banned for macroing, and you were really macroing. Something went wrong on your end, or you were reported. Like you said, your script stood in a single tile clicked mindlessly. That's an easy catch for their "system", but it doesn't get more complex than that. Yes, not using bots is the safest and smartest way to play. But the quick XP without absolute 0 effort is a tempting offer to most, esp. those who can't dedicate the time to this game.


EDIT: I'd also like to add; if you do truly believe Jagex is so superior at detecting not only bots, but ghost mice, then why do you even macro to begin with? In your opinion it seems as though botting=instant ban, period.
