MITM Imposter Scammer - $250

Amount Scammed: $250 via Paypal

Discord Unique ID of Snep: Snep#1070 + 546092656950902795 (He may also have gotten scammed?) I'm given very little evidence to work with and nozdrev does not know how to provide more evidence.

Fake Michael obviously does not have a Sythe.

This is all of the evidence I was provided. I attempted asking for video logs / picture of the profiles for confirmation of the unique ID but the user did not know how.

Hi it was not me who scammed. Fake michael scammed the $ he also scammed me out of the paypal told me to send it in DMs I will upload the proof. I have agreed to comply with the guys paypal chargeback.

here are screenshots of me losing 150m earlier. user was changing their name to lots of different users to imposter scam... im very sorry and will accept the chargeback hes issued.

Can you upload a video of the unique ID or post the unique ID of the imposters / any and all parties involved?

 

I've had correspondence with @Snep.
I noticed he posted on the Sythe Gold Sell/Buy thread that he got scammed by the user 'Apex'. He was told to make a scam report but didn't follow up on anything.
Today I was approached by a discord user of the name Apex#9988 (he wanted to sell me a blue phat, then buy 2000m osrs). Thus, I went to snep to ask him what happened, to give proof of the scam. Turns out this so called Apex guy is trying to pull some man in the middle scam or middleman scam because in the scam proof that I asked snep to provide, I noticed someone by the alias of CHERUB in the discord chat. Obviously during the time of this conversation that snep had with the imposter 'CHERUB' account, the discord wasn't CHERUB, it was michael or whoever.



I have not traded with anyone involved in this report.

Alright so after reviewing this whole situation, it looks like a typical MITM scam indeed occured here. I've discussed with prizford on discord and he provided me screenshots of his conversation history with snep and it proves they indeed spoke before the scam(s) occured.

https://i.imgur.com/1RJZQWG.png @Snep, prizford had the courtesy to ask you if you had developer mode on so you could verify unique discord IDs and you said yes, yet you managed to get scammed by an imposter? Unfortunately like it was mentionned by OP, there is no way for us to determine who is behind the fake discord accounts and they most likely don't have a registred Sythe account. @nozdrev @Snep I'm sorry for your losses. Discord is crawling with imposters, therefore always make sure to request a Sythe PM before proceeding with any trades.
