How do people fall for imposters/fake emails??

How hard is it to ask for a PM from someone on sythe?

I've had 3 people add me, having all imposter emails. When I asked for a PM on forum, 1 blocked my right away, 2 gave me "oh I can't access sythe right now" or "oh my internet is not working" (not working? um how are you on msn).

I just don't see why you wouldn't ask for a pm. Then when they get scammed, of course the real person is accused and in the end they just look silly for falling for a fake.

Couldn't this be like a rule? Make everyone require to PM each other so you know you are actually dealing with the right person.

I hope, this isn't in the wrong section. I apologize in advance.

Because not everyone is as smart when going through with trades as you may be. As sad as it is, sometimes it can be a good thing if a user is scammed, they will know to be more cautious next time to ensure it doesn't happen again.

As for the rule on requesting PMs, it would never get followed and no one would really follow it. If you want to lower the chances of getting scammed, request a PM.

If a user is scammed, it's usually their own fault.

You need to stop bitching over dumb shit.

It is implied you get a pm from everyone you are trading with. This is Sythe, 9/10 people are scammers.

I hope, this isn't in the wrong reply. I apologize in advance.

Most of the people scammed are young an inexperienced with trading.

If they see someone say "$0.1 for 100M rsgp if you buy in the next 1 minute" new trades think they have to get a good deal, so they rush it all and don't notice the obvious things.

    Anyway... Closed :p
