Beginner In Need of Help

[Ooshen]

Hi I am a beginner in need of help, I run Windows 7 and was just wondering what a good free designing program is? Before I move on to purchasing a really good one?

Use Photoshop CS5, here's the link.

And C4D cinema would help too

Got a legit link for C4D?

I remember in my old days I used Gimp.

GIMP is amazing and free, and everyone starts in GIMP. It is like paying your dues if you will. It helps advanced technique over tools, because PS may have a lot of tools but they will not make you any better if you don't know any technique.

The big thing is to learn the foundations of tagging and things like web design.

I personally never used GIMP before; I used Photoshop.

GIMP is the best free software, in my opinion.
