    A disheartening appeal

Before reading my appeal, please take the time to read the thread here: http://sythe.org/showthread.php?p=10086068
    ______________________________________________
*note: I asked MohtasaUnique through MSN to delete my other thread request in the other dispute forum section as it needed some editing.

On 12/2/2011, I submitted a fake scam report on n4n0's thread. I had some suspicions on whether or not it was real, and it appeared my suspicions were true. I registered back in Sythe back in December 2009, and up until then I had gained 30 legitimate vouches. I had only had ~297 posts, but those posts were legitimate, unlike many who had simply gain posts just for the reason of getting a respectable post count for trust. I already knew it and had a sense of dread when n4n0 replied to my spam forum, "hammered." I will not try to ban evade, and if this appeal is denied, I will re-appeal in 6 months. I am highly disappointed with myself, and I have a feeling that this might be bad for my reputation, as I've stuck with the username ritzbits for quite some time. I usually browse Sythe and post about topics or discuss the market. I would gladly accept a ban from the market or a permanent TWC rather than a permanent ban as a consequence for my actions. I like the Sythe community. I've only had one account ever on Sythe. I understand scamming is dishonest, and it was stupid of my to try to scam n4n0.

    Request for a Pardon
I understand and I confirm that I attempted to scam n4n0 (not directly; I simply posted a forged scam report, but it is still true), it looks worse in the case where he was supposedly hacked and had to reimburse others. I apologize to n4n0 directly, as well as to the Sythe community for this. In order to prove myself as a trustworthy person, I would like to offer personal information and to keep in touch with trusted members/staff so they may see what kind of a person I am. I can do this via facebook, in-game, MSN, or video chat if necessary (i'm a really shy person), but I am dedicated to trying to redeem myself, if it is in any way possible. I believe I have benefited a little in the community around here, through posting meaningful posts, helping others, and trading cooperatively.

I'm a normal member of Sythe, and I'm trying to have optimistic values. I knew I shouldn't have tried scamming n4n0, it's just one mistake I ever regret committing on Sythe. I had a long train of thought that led me to forging a fake scam report; but in the end it was the wrong decision. Since I was banned; I have been thinking about it and nothing else for a while. I use the same username on each website, ritzbits. I'm have accounts on many communities, but to be banned from this community is very disheartening for me. I thought it was similar to FireZ's weeding out of dishonest people in his giveaway thread where you had to post, and users created multiple accounts. I think this one is a little different, but still very similar. This is just my opinon, but I believe FireZ's ploy to weed out dishonest people were more of ban evaders and attracted more dishonest people. I witnessed this and saw the discussion in the Spam Forum. This, however, had a greater effect, as discussed in the n4n0's MSN thread and creates some distrust against the Sythe staff. However, what I did was still wrong, i'm willing to remedy this if it's possible.

I live in the United States, specifically the state of Minnesota. I'm a regular member on Sythe and I play RuneScape. I'm 15. I woke up around 7:05 AM, which is late, and I needed some time to shower. At around 7:35 I left for school, it was an a early release day as teachers had meetings after. I'm really trying to be an optimistic fellow- but scamming is in no way optimistic. With 25-30 minute classes, the day was short. I decided to skip skiing practice because my calf was hurting and not very many would be there. I came home on the bus and got home around 1:30. I started browsing Sythe there soon after.

Another quote from n4n0's MSN thread:
SCOTTAY just called me an idiot, and this is true. I just threw away everything I had on Sythe, and I had just attempted to scam n4n0. It's not my 30 measily vouches (that aren't considered much, in regards to others who are able to somehow attain 30 vouches in a month), or a 297 post count which is also not very much, but the time I had spent on Sythe. I've been with Sythe for quite a while (around 3 years now), and I don't believe I could have been much of a threat to Sythe's marketing community. Before I decided to create a fake scam report though, I thoroughly read n4n0's report on how he was hacked. I had some suspicions, and my thoughts originally would be "don't do it, it's bad." I should've listened. It's human nature to be evil, it's psychology. It's very hard to explain, but I would like a second chance, and for this, I am willing to do.

These quotes are from my unregistered viewings, I reset my IP address by power cycling my internet modem (I was having an error with the system couldn't view the dispute subforums). If I really wanted to ban evade, I could make a new account with new MSN details, and nothing related to ritzbits whatsoever. I however, am sticking with the name ritzbits, a name I have grown attached to, and I would not dare change for a false alias while ritzbits remains banned. I have other accounts on vBulletin websites, and on all of those, I have good intentions. Here is a link to an account that I have on another website, hopefully, this is helpful in giving you insight on the type of person that I am: http://talkprizes.com/members/ritzbits.html

I would just like to say here: Human beings in their natural state have a “perpetual and restless desire” for power; this creates enmity, competition, diffidence, and perpetual quarreling. This is a quote from a write-up I wrote up for AP European History, a class that i'm taking, a quote from Thomas Hobbes, a 17th century English philosopher. I don't know much about the active members on Sythe, but I suppose they're much older than me, and able to trade with the money they have. I'm only 15 at the moment, and I don't have a job or my license yet. I was tempted, and normally, i'm not a dishonest person at all, but I still went for it. After I posted, I talked to Karl via the livechat system about how Sythe is pronounced. I think Sythe has really great moderators, and I don't think any other similar community exists. Right now, I would really like a second chance. I'm not sure whether or not Sythe gives second chances, but I hope to prove myself worthy of one. I understand that Sythe is just an internet forum (I've always thought it was form until recently when my teacher pronounced it for-um), but it feels like I've grown attached to Sythe, and I would really like to be a member of the community, not a banned outcast. I'm willing to try to prove this if i'm given the chance, or to prove what kind of person that I am.

The reason for my late post after the banning is because I had fallen asleep. I drank a can of coffee, but I still fell asleep (i've had some sleep deprivation over the past week). I fell asleep with my dog at my side on the couch, sleeping from about 6 PM to 12 PM (this is bad). I think I woke up in the middle of my sleep, but I don't quite remember. When I woke up, I saw that it was 11:38 PM, and I saw that I was banned. It's now late in the morning.

My browsing history for Google Chrome.

When I saw that I had been banned on Sythe, it was really, disheartening. I was disappointed in myself. Almost everybody is affected by greed. Feren Silver, for example, he was an OMM and had 400+, and was very involved in Sythe, but he attempted to scam around 10 billion RSGP, supposedly. I had purchased an account from him shortly after he was banned. Now, if I was given the opportunity to scam 10B, I could never do such a thing, I think. I would honestly say "I would feel bad for the person who lost $5000." that is only theoretical, in the actual situation one might decide differently. I think the majority of the members on Sythe would think this way, and I would like to change my ways. Even the members who say scamming is bad, may scam. The ban that I have right now wouldn't go as far to affect my life at all, but it does distress me. I wouldn't mind at all, as long as I was unbanned. The signs of a lure was really quite obvious, the "Paying back those who got scammed" in the title, and other details about it, but I still went for it.

I don't think I have very strong ties with any of the members on Sythe (ie; Govind might personally know n4n0), but I would like to, as I said before, to get in touch with other members via facebook/MSN in order to let them know what kind of a person I really am. I ask you to examine my appeal closely and decide what is right. If my appeal is denied, I will have to painstakingly file for an appeal for 6 months, which I'm fine with- but I would be without Sythe for 6 months. I wouldn't browse Sythe unregistered, I wouldn't have a voice or anything, and it would be annoying to have an unregistered notice. As I said before too, ban evading, is just, no. I really like Sythe and the community that it has, I'm certain I can be without it as I've taken a long break from Sythe before, but it would be very hard to have something replace it, and I would always be banned from Sythe. I understand that the Sythe staff is very, not open to appeals (from occasionally looking at Disputes), but, I would really like to try for an appeal. My final request is that I ask for whoever is reading this to look it over carefully again, to review my account, my past, anything that would help. Not one person on Sythe really knows me, and I think it could help if they could, via facebook, in-game, MSN, or any other possible way and see what a good person I am, but I really feel attached somehow to the Sythe community.

This is not a dispute; it's a pardon. Moving to the High Pardon forum.

I do share your disdain for the process in which you were banned, but you nonetheless decided to exploit an opportunity. Come back in 6 months or a year and find proof that you learned your less and I'll likely support it.
