Before you post a thread relating to how our staff should do their jobs...

Recently I have noticed a few too many threads relating to how sythe.org staff should do a better job. However true, or untrue this may be, this is a suggestion that I make to the users of these forums:

Every user of these forums has a private messaging box. Use the PM system to tell a mod personally. If you've been scammed, or see spamming in forums, before you post about it, even in the report a scammer/spammer forums, PM a moderator that is online. If your curious as to how you can tell who is online, just look at the very bottom of the main page, or the list can also be found here as well.

The reason that I make this suggestion to all users of the forums, is that my PM box, when a message is received, will open a pop-up window, which then makes that message my number one priority. I open, read, and reply to each message, and if it is about banning/scamming/spamming/etc. I will always take the time to review anything that needs to be seen. I am going to refer all other members of the staff to this page, and hopefully, if their PM isn't already setup that way, it will be afterward.

If we all cooperate, this should make things a lot more secure on sythe.org. However, always remember, if you feel unsafe with ANY trades you are making, don't do it. That is always the safest way to not be scammed.

Well i have no more complaints

Lots of mods, lets call it "appeared offline", so us as normal members cannot see if they are online or not

 

Invisible mode is a staff privelege for a reason. I keep it on because I'm swamped with homework atm and I don't like to be constantly bothered (which is also why I'm not on my public MSN a lot).

 

Then PM 1-3 mods about the thread I'm sure one of them is going to get online and look at it eventually.

 

Im not saying i mind that you are using the invisible mode, i was just giving a realistic non-mod view to the situation.

There is 1 problem with pming the mods, as SMR stated above. If they have more important things to do, they might turn a blind eye to the Pm they recieve, which resolves nothing. For all i know ALL 3 mods might be busy with school work etc..

But anyway, im going to shut up now, i could carry on for ages but there wouldn't be much point

Also ive been told by some mods that they use the invisible things because people PM them saying "0mg th15 p3r50n sc4mz0rd m3 b4n pl0x3s"

Which in English means "Please can you ban this person because they scammed me", which totally goes against the point of this thread

 

Well, this thread has been pointed out, by me, in the moderator's forums. If they choose to ignore PMs, it will be quite obvious soon enough, and I'm sure you'll see Mods loosing ranks in the new forums, if they aren't doing their job.

 

I always reply to my PM's, I just never get any that don't regard infractions =|

How would you know that's all he does? Can you see his mod logs? Can you see the Staff Lounge?

 

Nope. Thats what i tried to explain above. That is PART of his job.

 

I think the mods and admin are doing a fine job, if a trade is to good, the chances are its a scam, so grow up, get over, and leave them alone, they have lives unlike some of you on here. So take a chill pill and wait until your dealt with geez, and stop making up stupid threads biatching about them, it pisses them off to come and read them and deal with these stupid threads when they could be doing something else... like getting rid of scammings instead of sticking up for their reputations because some of you have nothing better to do than start these stupid threads.

The only reason SMI started this thread was because his also sick of everyone posting these threads.

P.S They ain't the only ones getting sick of these threads. SO QUIT IT

Well, yeah I agree. But they should be banned if they post a thread about their jobs.. Like Annex has said.. we don't have freedom of speech.. so complaining is simply stupid and should get you into trouble. being snotty is plain annoying, and really all you can do is wait and hope.

 

Staff owns. End of story.

probably a good idea SMI, but you would need a bigger inbox aswell
