Been trying to shake

A pretty long term depression for about nine months now. Broke up with my gf of 4+ years and it's been a really slow transition back into 'single life'. I expected myself to shake it quick and move straight into working out and being active again- I was actually looking forward to it. It's been 9 months and every time I try to get motivated and make some changes I end up backsliding again and don't end up sticking to any of my short term goals.

I'm in college and I even went out and got a new job- job has helped a bit but I'm seriously at a point where I'm like- how the fuck did I let myself backslide this hard mentally?

I just keep putting off changes to my diet, daily activities, etc. Now I can't sleep worth a shit and it's just exacerbating shit.

Fucking over it.

Occupy your time with something stimulating to replace that feeling you once had.

 

Go get laid. Honestly dude, when I found out my gf at the time cheated on me with my best friend I was in a bad place. Fortunately I had friends to talk with and I just kept socializing and going out (sure I was drinking but I wasn't isolating home by myself) and then I went to a rave, went back to the girls hotel room and yea..I found that to help forget and move on. Made it easier to start going on dates and such again after you go trash some gut.

 

I was in two four year relationships and I can honestly say the easiest way to get over a long term relationship is to go meet new women

That last bit made me lol. Yeah man my problem isn't that I'll go home and isolate, like I'm an introvert in general but I have friends and go out often. But Orange County is not the place to meet decent chicks. I'm more of a relationship guy- not that I don't like going and hooking up with some ho. But the females here are all chasing paper.

 

Travel states then fam or don't give up. I thought the same in my area where I live but I was able to find a girl that settled down and just games with me now.
