    Vintage The Scammer

    Hello everyone,

    I'm clam. I was recently selling a Main account on runescape - Click here to View the thread.
    The asking price for $140.

    Anyhow, Due to a previous trade with Vintage, I asked him via skype, if he was interested in purchasing the account.
    As we talked, he got more & more interested. We then discussed and later confirmed on a price of $140 cash for the account.

    The trade then proceeded, and due to his reputation, post count, and even join-date, I automatically assumed he was some-what trustworthy and so I delegated myself to go first in the trade(I did have the option to use an MM).
    Anyhow, talks went forward and I ended up Giving the account details to him & the trade began;

    He then requested the previous details, so he could test-recovery, to ensure that if the account was suddenly hacked, he would be enabled to recover the account back, which is fair enough.

    & so I gave him what he requested basically;
    [IMG]

    Little did I know, they were not for that specific account, as they were for a different account in which I own.
    & So after the test recovery came in, it had been denied.

    After this, he then stated he didn't want the account any more, as he would not be able to recover if the account was hacked, which is again fair enough.

    I apologised for providing the wrong information, and wasting his time & asked for the account back.. Yet after knowing I had later no way of recovering he replied with this:
    [IMG]

    He then logged out, and hasn't been online for the past 24 hours, Though I've noticed him posting on rune-server...
    Strange.
    Little did I know, he then pm'ed a friend Twisty asking him if he would like to purchase the account in which he had just scammed from me, as I mentioned twisty in the early stages of the trade stating that me & twisty had done a few trades in the past.

    I know all of the above is completely my fault, I'm just getting the word out there, and alerting people DO NOT trade with him.
    & DO NOT assume people are trustworthy because of a Join date, and reputation. I'll not be making the same mistake, that's for sure.

    If a moderator could review this, and maybe sort the issue that'd be fantastic.
    If this is in the wrong section, again I apologize.

    Thanks everyone,
    Clam.

    Can you please use the stickys and post full screen uncropped skype conversations?
    This is sadly not acceptable as proof.

    Thank you
