Best drummer in the post-hardcore music genre(?) [opinions welcome, of course!]

Alright, so the person who I am discussing is the young, extremely talented, Luke Holland - the drummer for the post-hardcore band, The Word Alive.

I'll just jump right into it, with my absolute FAVORITE cover/remix Luke has done, which involves the most unique stick trick I've ever seen, along with immaculate improvisation over the track, "Look At Me Now", by Chris Brown, and I'll go on from there. :)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pws3E-SY6zI Honestly, correct me if I'm wrong, but does this slick cat ricochet his right stick off his hi-hat, like, three times in a ROW, at around 1:49-1:55ish? Like, shit, just looking for some verification, or wanting to know if my eyes and ears are deceiving me, lmao. You don't even *have* to read the rest of this, really, unless you're down for musical discussion, it's just an invitation to discuss music within the current metal subgenres/post hardcore, or the so called, (idiotically, in my opinion), "[blahblah]'CORE'", genre(s). Would be awesome to discuss any of the things/videos/stick tricks/arguments for my opinion that's given as to the best drummer, or whatever. I just wanna talk drums with someone or some people who can appreciate the art form behind drumming, and realize it's not meant to be senseless smashing of a kit, like a lot of uninformed people apparently think nowadays.

So yeah man, all opinions are welcome, but the main reason behind this monstrous post is to see if everyone or anyone at all sees what I see happening at 1:49-1:55 in the first video listed above, and the second is to discuss drummers, or honestly, just musicians in general, man. I just want to talk MUSIC, because lately, nobody talks MUSIC, the only discuss songs or a band's front-man (nothing wrong with liking the front man, but like...don't ride that dick, he can't do it alone, so give credit where it's due, is all I'm asking - not trying to offend anyone who only knows a band's front man's name, haha.)

And now, a Luke Holland appreciation post. Feel free to like, agree with, contend, or deny any of the statements I make, but if you do, please provide the name and/or band of who you believe can top his playing (within the metal subgenres/post hardcore, or the ___"core"s), and remember, the shit like Infant Annihilator is not to be considered "better" JUST because it's faster - two different concepts, hahah. But yeah, I'd love to hear some good drummers and some of your opinions and standpoints, man.

Also, best drummer out of all of the metal subgenres/post hardcore, hands down. And let me remind you, in this video, he was only freakin' 17 years old, and his only teacher since he was 10 has been himself. Here's a more recent video, where he's 19, it's a cover of the Texas In July track, "Bed of Nails", which he dominates, honestly.

And just for my closest friend, a big fan of the cymbals AND Ellie Goulding, a drum remix of "Figure 8", which goes hard as hell. Also, includes this legend tossing a stick behind his back and catching it, which is pretty cool, too, heheh.

Next in line (if you're still reading, I assume you also enjoy his work and want to see more, and arguably "better", so, here we go, haha), just because the saying goes, "It's always easy to make an already-made song better with a cover, because you already have a foundation to work with, but to make something completely your own takes a lot more talent", I have to share Luke's playthrough video of The Word Alive's cover of "Mercy" (yeah, he plays for TWA, if you didn't know...lucky kid, hahah.) This was his first song he wrote for The Word Alive, also. And damn, it's sick as hell.

Seriously, the talent in this guy is outstanding - and that statement is not based solely off his stick tricks, but more-so how smooth his playing is, and how instead of sacrificing his skill in a playthrough, like most drummers in a variety of metal subgenres do, he incorporates them into his play style, in a way, it seems - yet really, a lot of his remixes on YouTube, or his covers, are either first takes, or improvisations.
