I can't get the website to load and whenever I get the webclient to load it always tells me invalid username or password. What's up? I've never played before - don't call me stupid if I'm doing something wrong.

 

You're not stupid, it just seems to be down 24\7, or at least EVERYTIME I try to get onto the website\game.

Just check there whenever you want, if it says the site is down then the server is so.

 

the servers being ddosed, sometimes the website is done but theres players on because they have had the downloadable client open before it went down

 

If it says "invalid username or password" then that usually means the name you're trying to use has already been taken. Considering you've never played before, I'd say that's the problem. As for the site, like the others said, probably getting attacked.
