Drawing a Complete Composition

I am good at drawing single realistic objects, like I will draw a realistic male figure on a blank canvas and detail the heck out of most of my work is drawn in Photoshop. But I have site for free templates Then when it comes to making a landscape or a background, I get lazy because I don't like drawing landscapes, I am kind of obsessed with drawing people, particularly eyes and faces. I feel like most of my drawings are more like clip art than full compositions. When I do attempt to make backgrounds, I never know where to start or what to make, and I wind up with a background that is of much lower quality then my figure.
