Yeah was in a bad mood (which is quite rare) at that moment.

    I'll delete my post.

interesting, but running barefoot isn't really practical if you're going outside for a jog

Running barefoot is like running in a neutral shoe without the cushioning.
Too many different foot types to say which is better, and there are alot, nevertheles.

We run barefoot at track when we have shin splints and other complications. It seems like it is better, and perhaps faster(while training, track spikes are definitely the fastest) but the biggest problem is that you're likely to step on stuff; we had a star athlete ruin his chances of going to state because he stepped on a rusty nail that was laying on the track for some odd reason.

Did a little research on these shoes and was looking at reviews. Just thought I'd say that every single one of the shoes I looked at had very high reviews (4.0/5.0 stars or more...usually in the 4.5-4.75 range). I jog about 3-4 times per week and am looking forward to getting one of these.

So, based on the reviews, I would say barefoot or minimal shoe running is "healthier faster easier" then running with shoes, but I'll have to test them out myself. :)

I ran 100m's in 14.2 secs , With spikes - with barefeet I did it in 13.7secons , I'm amazed , and my coach was stunned to....

This was an average of 5 time's per variable...

Saw this thread as was like pffft whatever.. But I did notice I nearly slipped when taking off in bare feet.

Back when I was a kid I would never wear shoes, and nothing hurt my feet. I could run over rocks and it wouldn't feel any worse than running over concrete.

All the people saying your feet will hurt don't understand that after using no shoes for a while your feet will become as hard as the surface that your walking on.

I live a raw lifestyle and I go barefoot whenever possible. I like to barefoot run every morning. Being barefoot is better than wearing shoes because the weight of the feet is distributed better. Wearing shoes causes the muscles of the feet to weaken and also a loss of dexterity in the toes. In cases where I have to wear shoes such as at school, I wear Vibrams.

I do completely agree that running barefoot is better. I have always been faster and felt more comfortable without shoes on. The only problem is that alongside the shitty "evolution" of humans from bare feet to shoes comes the shitty "evolution" of everything else... meaning that now we have mass amounts of rough surfaces such as asphalt, concrete, etc...

that might not sound so bad except that from the environments in the past, we have an enormously increased mount of pollution such as broken glass, nails, etc spread over these surfaces that is directly correlated to "evolution".

That being said, our naked feet of today have a much more hostile environment to run on than that of the past.

I ran a mile barefoot on a track about 2 months ago. When I stopped my feet were black (from the tar on the track) and bleeding.

Only run barefoot on the beach or soft grass...

In most cases the bottoms of the feet are strong enough where they won't be cut easily by small pieces of glass, this is especially true in long time barefoot runners.
