Anyone here play rugby?

completely random but i'm just wondering.

if so, what position?
i play winger and fullback

 

League or Union? I don't play but I watch and am a fan of both. (League is so much better...)

 

well i play union.. im only 16 its my 3rd year though
im in an under 19 league

 

used to play league at school but that was about it. I prefer league because i felt it was so much faster paced rather than bothering about scrums e.t.c.

The team i support in league is St Helens because i used to live there and the school there was what got me into rugby.

never played league xD

its funny when i was a freshman i was like 5 foot 6 170 lbs
now im a junior 6 foot 1 150 lbs and im one of the fastest on my team
its amazing what excersize can do hahaha

 

lol, i have to admit though i took a beating the first few times i played rugby. First ever time i played, i was thrown the ball, fumbled and by the time i got it, looked up to see the fattest guy in my school dive tackle me xD... now that hurt.

i had a game in the rain on saturday.. i flat out decked this kid.. went straight into the mud

 

I play mostly on the outside backs such as winger,center or fullback but last week i played at 2nd five.

 

I play rep South Coast League Hooker/Lock =) Under 20's

 

our hooker's never playing rugby again.. got stepped on first game of the season broke his cheek bone and his finger, had to get surgery. they had to drill into his cheek, then stick a hook into the hole and hook his cheek bone back into place so it could heal properly.
the same game my best friend got a concussion and severed an artery in his nose (was a blood fountain.. fucking nasty)and broke the cartilege in his nose.
and the SAME game our captain got stepped on and tore the tendent above his eye.. had to get stitches.
we lost 3 of our starting forewards 1st game of the season lol.
the most unpleasent 2 hours of my life right there hands down.
i dont know how many of you rugby players have gotten hurt/watched team mates get hurt but its not fun

 

I have broken a few fingers but a bit of tape and I was back out there, I no we had a Winger once I think I was in under 17's he broke 4 bone's in hes foot come back with 4 Games to go and he broke hes tail bone with in 3 Mins of playing...

Sucked for him but he wasnt missed little smart ass that never shut up + no one knows how he made rep...

I play for school, outside center and sometimes winger if needs be.

 

nice,... i had a tournament last saturday and i dove for the ball and got stepped on.. i broke the knuckle on my left hand middle finger.. so im done with rugby till next year

 

I used to play for Durham County as an outside centre and i toured Ireland representing England as a second row and a match as No. 8. (But not for the england team,) so yeah i used to play but not anymore. Work and girlfreind and what not. And anyway it's cricket season atm.

I play Fullback and Wing for the Auckland U85kg Rugby Union team in New Zealand, probably one of the best U85kg teams in the world, if not the best.

 

My Husband has played a bit of Rugby League and we both love to watch League games. We don't watch Union much and my husband has never played it.
