House Layout?

Is there a general house layout that people use? I'm not sure where to put each room for my house. :x

 

Altar directly north of Portal is common design everything else doesn't matter

 

Having an altar next to the house portal is a common one, like said above, especially if you're hosting a house party; a lot of people are after altars. You should try to have the portal rooms closeby and/or a quest hall(for glory purposes), so to keep them handy for anyone using them.

I personally prefer any kind of layout that allows all rooms to be easily accessible; just try out one room at a time and keep them connected while trying to have at least one of each room you're after.

One thing to make sure is that you find a layout that really suits you and you plan to keep a while before adding in stuff, obviously, as to keep yourself from adding in like a 8m throne only to find out that you don't have the room in the area you want; costs can become a nightmare that way.
