Spam inf (Not a big one, skip over this to bigger disputes before bothering.)

Ok, first off, I know this isn't a big deal, but infraction build up can end up in a ban.

It's a guide contest, and I was wishing someone good luck.
I don't see how simply wishing someone luck with the contest is spam, and even if it was it was really nothing, a warning would easily have sufficed.(In my opinion, every mod/user has differen't views on things such as this.)

I can imagine if I was being negative, such as "I hope you lose, my guide will win!" or something of that nature, but I don't see how a positive "Good luck mate!" is spam.

 

You could've PMed him with stuff like that. Posting 'good luck mate' just spams up the forums.

Obviously not. It could be looked at in both a positive and negative way as well.

When you make a post, simply elaborate on what you are saying. Why were you giving him good luck? And even then, is wishing someone good luck relevant to the topic? Not really...
