The personal support rule in the spam forum is as follows:


1 month ban offences

• Personal Information of other members
  • Including but not limited to: names, pictures, social media links, emails and contact details etc or quotes from the Personal Support forum, regardless of whether or not the information is publicly available.

I made sure I wasn't breaking any rules as I didn't post names, pictures, social media links, email, contact details, or quotes from the Personal Support forum so can the bright mod that banned me please tell me what I did wrong. Thanks.

 

the incompetent staff yankiee also gave me a 1 year ban instead of the standard 1 month ban

my dispute of why i believe this ban isn't justified is in my first thread.

i also suggest a rewording of the rules. the current rules state that you cannot quote any comments from people in personal support. i didn't quote anything i just mentioned information which isn't against the rules.

I told him if he wanted to dispute the ban that he could take it up with another mod because I stand by the ban I gave him.

He didn't hit the quote button but the only way he would have known the info he posted is if he read Wintastical's personal support post. In other words, he still broke the rule by posting what he did in the SF.

Edit: I don't think it's okay to dance around the rules by saying, "but I didn't quuuuuuoote the post, so I didn't break the exact rule." You still did. You flamed someone in the SF (which is cool, whatever) about something deeply personal and emotional (hence why it was in PERSONAL support). It is not okay to use that information while using the SF.

 

It's a valid ban
