For the first time ever, free players will also share in the Bonus XP Weekend, with 20% more XP. Naturally, though, being a member will always give you a significantly greater bonus: double XP!

Grab your gear, examine your skill levels and start scheming – the weekend will run from noon (GMT) Saturday 27th October to noon (GMT) Monday 29th October.

- FREE TO PLAY PLAYERS will have access to this as well. Free to Play gets 20% Bonus Exp while Members gain the usual Double Exp.

- This event will run from Saturday October 27th - Monday October 29th

I hope it's double the whole time. Jagex finally does something good. Perfect time to raise expensive stats!

 

Well they stated Double, so I'm pretty sure it will be Double. If not - expect a lot of rants on the forums (lol).

If it's Double then they may just cap it at a certain Exp gain?

For example:

You get DOUBLE EXP until you've hit 1M in total 'Double Exp'

I'm unsure, our best bet is to just wait until they release more details to confirm and debunk everything.

God I hope this is x2 exp for the whole time, that would be awesome. It was quite ironic also, just last night I was thinking about herblore and wishing there would be another bonus EXP weekend haha. If it is x2 for the entirety of the weekend though, hopefully summoning is included in this.

Lucky I've already got around 6.5k crimson charms haha.

Just a heads up though guys, LuckyDraw and I have combed through 24 pages of the Runescape Forum and could not find a J Mod confirming or denying any of the queries that have been raised on the forums. Looks like they are going to keep us in suspense for a while. If anyone wants to take a look later, start after page 24.

They do not state how this is anyway different to other bonus xp weekends.

They did not call it a 'double xp weekend' at any point.
'Hallowe'en Treat: Scary Bonus XP Weekend!' was their exact wording.
I highly doubt that summon xp would be doubled.

 

I hope its 2x summoning, if not ill be working on my defence
