[APPROVED] Ban the sales of Twitch Prime accounts.

Bulk twitch primes are obtained illegally using combo lists, checkers and other fraudulent methods such as fake credit cards. Don't need to type up an essay because anyone with a brain knows they're fraudulently obtained, this is no different to selling cracked Netflix/Spotify/League of Legends accounts.

 

I'm actually going to support this, though it is different in some ways it is very much the same in a lot of ways.

 

Wasn't aware, thought anyone could make them (prime trials) and as such they'd just bot account creations... support this

 

Support, even if it is done by just entering in fake details it is still fraudulent.

 

Until you prove they're "fraudulent". What is "fraudulent" in your own terms? I don't support this.

If you want to do this, let's stop selling RUNESCAPE/csgo/lol/wow/minecraft ranked/unranked accounts while at it.

 

Support, see too many scam report on Twitch Prime lately for how item is obtained, cause lot of issue, waste staff time, more drama for community

This has nothing to do with it. Sure, people use it to scam. BUT People are dumb. Why would you ever go first in a bulk deal with a newcomer? People get scammed with account trades even more. We just notice it more now with the primes because the time is ticking down. Just because you see a scam report doesn't mean it's the products fault. It's ignorance on the buyers behalf.

I do not agree, the accounts made are not harming anyone. It's breaking twitch rules yes, but selling rs gold or rs accounts also breaks the rules.
However to avoid scammers we can be helped by limiting the market to trusted and donors to be able to sell twitch accounts.

If anyone claims that they are created with stolen identity that's very wrong. That would cost way to much.
If jagex or twitch want to limit this they can do it in a very easy way and stop giving twitch trials.

 

I don’t support, this is a free market. Many users of sythe sell all kinds of things like cheats and botting scripts that break in game rules anyways. This is no different I think

 

Unsure how this has anything to do with an account being 'fraudulent'? How is there any tangible connection between the 2 sets of accounts?

I presume the OP is referring to stolen prime accounts/accounts made with stolen details. How is that similar to selling any type of the aforementioned accounts?

 

I think there's a greater amount of sellers that are geniune than there are resellers, I would suggest making rules more strict towards reselling. That way it wont effect the market negatively and resellers would be held liable for selling stolen accounts simply because they bought it cheap from a shady person in order to make a quick buck.

Slap on a rule making resellers liable for selling hacked/stolen accounts.

 

I explained in the thread how they're obtained, combo lists, account checkers and using fraudulent credit card information, these accounts you're naming in question are mainly obtained by using bots.

How can you say it's not harming anyone? They are directly impacting Twitch and Amazon, these accounts can be used for a Twitch prime subscription that Twitch/Amazon pay out, it's literally fraud. I get that you abuse the system but don't be so stupid lol.

We don't have to get all philosophical or argue semantics, lets just take his understanding of "fraudulent" as its literal definition.

What seems legitimate about a single user selling a large amount of prime accounts when each should be linked up to a unique CC.

I am struggling to see the correlation between fraudulent twitch prime accounts and fraudulent gaming accounts, we have plenty of ways to vet the legitimacy of a gaming account and if people want to give proof that they legitimately have come in to possession of dozens of twitch prime accounts I can't see why they shouldn't be able to sell them.

 

I don't really see how this would change anything, if there's a demand there will always be someone who supplies it. They will either start pming every user they know that is dealing with lots of accounts or just move to botting sites

 

Also people will start messaging sellers who they know sells primes even if it's not advertised. Will just make it harder to see who is offering it and resulting in less trusted trades.

 

I'm gonna go with no support on this, however I think advertising private discords which are intentionally made to sell their twitch prime accounts, should not be allowed. Because people are making these discords, ranking themselves or friends, then they are scamming others in the discord where legit sales have actually been made. (Which makes some people think that the ranked people are actually legit and can be trusted) If that's not possible, then people need to seriously be more cautious about the situation.

 

That's the whole point of making something not allowed on Sythe, make it harder to find a supplier.

I am currently selling twitch prime accounts and I strongly disagree on claiming that these prime accounts are only obtained through combolists and cracking. I can fully provide proof that my prime accounts are generated and completely harmless. All my accounts have the same password which is already more than proof that they do not belong to someone else. I can provide more insight about this if needed. Been doing twitch prime for over 2 years.

 

I understand where you're coming from and in that case maybe something like providing proof they're being obtained legitimately. That's all my point was I don't care about selling them or not. Just as long as they're obtained and done legitimately.
