Ive come up with a suggestion that would bring down newcomer scams in the market section.

I was thinking possibly; that only people with 50+ Posts can post in the market section.

Im not sure if this would work, but it would stop newcomer scams, as their is alot of newcomers trading daily, most of them scammers...

It would only generate more spam.

Eventually people would get them and scam (If that's their purpose).

I'm certain this won't be accepted.

Been suggested, and been denied. Just acts as a negator to people joining the site for a quick sale, etc.

Yeah if anything it would deter people from registering, which is the opposite to what a site should desire.

Continual promotion of safe trading techniques is the best way to reduce scams imo.

It's hard enough to become established in the market, never mind if you can't even get in to it. Especially if you're not interested in off-topic etc. Would result in more spam and posts would be worse quality.

I see your point about newcomers, however the majority of the time the buyer makes a poor decision to trade with the seller. Common sense would say not to complete a big transaction without a middleman, or a member with an extremely low vouch and post count.

Post requirements aren't going to be added, it's on the DNS list.
