Price Check Sections

Hey hey guys!Recently I have noticed that in the Price check sections(all of them as far as I can see)people are just posting price checks and not the person above an estimate.The sections are just full of accounts with hardly any responses.I think it would be a good idea to make it mandatory to estimate the price of the account above you.Failure to do so could result in an infraction of some sort?A lot of people do not post pictures of the account either,despite the first post stating that you must.I think this should also be infractable.I hope you agree with me and decide to take action because at the moment it seems to be all take and no give in these sections.

Waste of time, who am I to tell you how much your account is worth? Who are you to say how much mine is worth? Who are we to judge another persons account?

Price check topics on things from games are a waste of time, why? Because something is only worth as much as you think it is worth. For example I just sold my 115 for 45M to n3w age pure. The account is only worth maybe 20M to someone else, but because he likes the account he is willing to pay that much. Does that make the account only worth 20M or actually worth 45M? Neither, the account is only worth whatever the next guy is willing to buy it for.

The only reliable way to get an ESTIMATE on AROUND what your account is worth, is to check what similar accounts around the black market HAVE ACTUALLY SOLD for, not how much they were asking for them, but how much they actually got.

But even then, you may have a better name for your rsn, or a rare one. Or you could have done some annoying quests that the person is willing to pay extra to not have to do, or perhaps you have more original information to offer, or no black marks.

There really is nobody who can give you an accurate price check, only what they would pay for the account if they wanted to buy it, so emphasizing price checks is just telling people to give out more false information.

yea waste of time... if noone answers.. its because they are not interested... or maybe if they are checking the PC section its because they dont know how to rate/ PC an account =P

Obviously you can be given a price check, most accounts fall into certain categories and go for pretty much the same amounts.What you posted was totally unrelated.I asked what people thought about making a new rule in that section, not whether or not you feel about price checks themselves.Read the whole thread and post an answer that is relevant next time please.Thanks for the rest of the support guys!I hope I dont get any more unrelated responses.

 

Theres an official price checking thread for this and people do reply to it.

 

No to be honest they dont.Look through the threads.Most people just post and then dont asnwer anything

 

Your idea isn't bad but as I got to thinking it wouldn't work.

Reason... If someone is asking for a price check then they probably don't know what any other accounts are worth.

I remember a guy posting a calculator that wasn't that bad at giving price checks based on gp, rares, and levels. Maybe I will go find it to help peoples problems with no response to their accounts.

 

Cfrey's post summed up my reasoning that I posted before. If you had read the post fully you would have realized it is directly linked to your suggestion. You are asking people to put information about an account which they do not understand or know anything about. If you are asking for a price check you are obviously not qualified to give a decent one and therefor all posts would be simply speculation and useless.

Point blank price checks on accounts are useless, once again you can only sell something for what you or the buyer think it's worth, not what the other people on the forum think it's worth that is irrelevant you are dealing with virtual goods that have no assigned value.

 

Yeah but if you see pictures of the account then you can give an evaluation of what you would would be willing to pay for the account. It would be purely based on estimation but at least then you would have a vague idea of what the account was worth.I can see what you are thinking but it would still be a good idea to make this compulsory.I understand that theoretically you would not be able to give an accurate price check but on the other side of the argument, what is the point of price check sections then? They are just becoming another place for people to take everything and give nothing back in return. In my opinion I think that if we cannot make it compulsory to give a price check to the above poster before you ask for yours then we should simply get rid of the sections.If people do not even make an effort then the sections themselves arent of any use.As stated above, I completely understand your point but it is better to go into an attempted sale with an estimated price, however vague, to base your trade on. If other people say that the price is wrong then you could edit it as necessary. If the section is not used properly then I think that it is just the equivalent of a spam section.
