Fucking pissed.

    So heres the story.

    I've played Runescape since 2002. I'd consider myself quite the seasoned player. However, the past year i've refrained from playing and focused on finishing highschool (got accepted into American Mensa, hopefully some of you know what this is) with straight A's and working a full time job as the highest ranking manager in the store at the age of 17 and I drive a 98 pontiac trans am convertible paid on my own. So... I consider myself fairly successful so far :)

    Anyway. After a force store remodel i'm out of a job for four months with nothing to do. Many stores around us have been shut down as well, leaving people in a frenzy for jobs.

    So I decided to return to RS.

    I have multiple accounts, but the one I'm concerned about is my level 137. Jagex constantly denies my appeals! For "creation details". This leaves me baffled because I have total and complete access to all of the information to the account and I am the original owner. But I moved states 3 years ago and I guess during my absence someone was able to gain access to my account and change the password/recoveries/everything. I'm pissed.

    I give them all the information I can (really hard, considering they only take 300 words of extra info and I have like 1000 words) and they still deny me because of "creation details".

    So basically I'm pissed, and I want my account back.

    ... is there anything I can do about this?

    any help appreciated.

    Try to provide the Ip address where you last played it on, and even the address on the house you played it the most at. I had this problem when i forgot the pass to one of my old mains. GL

    Just don't give up man. Try sending them an e-mail at the [email protected] e-mail or w/e it is, or posting on the forums and trying to explain your situation. I've heard of similar situations many times before, where people move cities/states and their IP is completely different and therefore Jagex assumes you are not the original owner of the account.

    Keep trying to contact them and get your account back, and send appeals as often as you can. I'm sure that if you are persistent enough, they will finally pay some attention to your case and you should be able to get your account back if you can prove that it is indeed your own account :)

    just make sure u fill out ALL of the questions asked in the recovery section (correctly) and you should be fine.

    tell them where the account was created even try give them the address or zip code.. hope i helped

    All you can do is provide all the information you can and write in the extra box the best you can about why you dont have your account. good luck man

    If you've been a part of these forums, or any other forums since before you moved you could contact an Administrator for your IP history. Try using that in your appeal, as well as ISP etc. Those are usually un-fakeable and solid evidence.

    Well they can't change the creation details lol, so you must not be entering those right.

    At least fill in your ISP that you used to use, and country, state, creation year (leave month black if you dont know)

    The white box to type in doesn't really help I think.

    Make a post on the forums about your problem, it should work and they may get back to you otherwise keep trying and use your old IP, if you subscribed by credit card or something fill in all that (GAINS YOU INSTANT ACCESS).

    I'm assuming you're the original owner. Your first three passwords are really important pieces of the recovery form, so make sure you try hard to remember what they were. Also very important are the creation date (ensure you enter the correct year, and make a good guess on the month if you don't know it), and your original ISP.

    Good luck with recovering your account.

    Hello. I am writing you in regards to my sons Runescape account, "XXXXXXXX".

    I have been an avid user of your game since 2002. In fact, my wife plays and so does my son. We all play together as a family, and have fun.

    However, after my son tried logging onto his account (XXXXXXXXX), he found that his password was incorrect.

    He was utterly disappointed; in tears. He worked on this account ever since he started playing in March of 2005. He spent quite a large portion of his free time on the account, resulting in the account almost being a maxed character.

    This leads me to believe that his account was hijacked. He also informed me that, when he tried to recover his password, that the recovery questions didn't seem familiar to him at all, leading to the obvious conclusion that the account was, in fact, hijacked.

    My son is seventeen years old. He works a full time job as a manager at a local store in town that recently closed due to remodeling. He took this opportunity as one to come back to play Runescape, but was decimated when he discovered that the account he had worked on for over five years was no longer in his possession.

    He has every piece of information to the account and has tried recovering it three times to no avail. He showed me that you, Jagex, refused to return to him his account on the basis of only 'Creation Details', which he provided accurately and flawlessly.

    Why is he getting denied his account for no probable cause? When his account was previously hijacked in 2009, he informs me, he was able to recover the account with ease.

    Why do you continue to deny him his account? He also is disappointed that the 'extra information' box only contains 300 characters for space. He can provide much, much more information than 300 characters and he finds it disappointing; as do I.

    I would like to know what we can do about this matter, as I've been an avid fan of your game for years, and I don't want to have to be the bearer of bad news to tell him that he will never see his years of hard work again over a silly mistake by your system, it seems.

    He keeps telling me that he can provide alot more information than your system allows.

    Is there anything that we can do to address this matter? I would like to see my son return to the game as happily as he started.

    Im having the EXACT same problem.

    I provide them with as much information, including my last IP address and an estimated date of last log out from that IP address.

    After reading this thread I decided to email Jagex, and I'll see what happens.

    Same thing happened to me.. I moved forgot my ISP and didnt know the 3 previous Passwords... Then denied..

    These things will get you your account back

    - 3 previous passwords (if they are the 1st 3 ~50% chance for account back)
    - Original IP address (this is the most important thing, you could fill in like nothing and still get it back with your creation IP
    - MEMBERSHIP DETAILS!!! another really important thing
    - if you dont have your original IP address, you can put it in the other details part of your appeal


    Hope you get your account back

    If you're legitimately the original owner just send in mass amounts of appeals.
