what to alch ?

hi im looking for a good item to alch any recommended ?

I'm assuming he means something he can stack up on to get Magic XP.

I would suggest using the basic method of unstrung bows, gold amulets and so on.

Check on RSWIKI for alchemy prices on items.

 

Unstrung bows for the win, cant find anything else in comparence..

I'd say it really depends on how much money you have to spare in order to buy things to alch and how many you can buy. It looks like currently freminik gloves are cheap and alching high for a 45.5% return on investment. You could get quite a lot of those and get a good sum of gp from them

 

Alch Snakeskin chaps buy snakeskin's for cheap 20-25gp ea and make them chaps and alch them your doing alot of profit and good mage and crafting xp

Here's what I did for 3 accounts.
The numbers below are assuming you are at the base levels for Crafting (Level 23), Smithing (Level 40), High Alch (Level 55).

1) Get 99 Smithing First, smelt Gold Ores till 99. Need 231,268 Gold Ores (assuming you have GoldSmith Gauntlets). You will have some bars leftover to sell.
2) Get 99 Crafting Second, you'll have to buy a large amount of sapphires. Craft Sapphire Bracelets till 99. Need 217,136 Sapphires.
3) Then High Alch all the bracelets till 99. You will have lots leftover, but you will actually PROFIT.

Gold Ore = 174gp x 231,268 = 40,240,632gp
Sapphire = 206gp x 217,136 = 44,730,016gp
Nature Rune = 178gp x 197,967 = 35,238,126gp
Fire Staff = 669gp
Total Supplies Cost = 120,209,443gp
Sell Leftover Gold Bars = 89 x 14,132 = 1,257,748gp
Sell Leftover Sapphire Bracelets = 456 x 19,169 = 8,741,064gp
High Alch Sapphire Bracelets = 690gp x 197,967 = 136,597,230gp
Total Money Returned = 146,596,042gp
Profit = 26,386,599gp, so basically FREE 99 Smithing, 99 Crafting, 99 Magic.

But then again this will take up a lot of time, electricity and internet usage so converting 26,386,599gp to USD you will probably make a loss in general :laugh:

 

Do the above method quick before prices change lads!!!

 

Is alching still cost/xp effective?... was my understanding that bursting/barraging in the Abyss was actually cheaper and you gained a shit ton more XP because EoC = e-z mode in that regard.

 

This is probably one of the best guides I've seen , especially seeing how profitable it is..

But how much time would it take? do you have a general idea?

 

Well TBH, I botted the whole process on all the 3 aforementioned accounts. But this was probably like 2 years ago, so excuse me if I am incorrect as I can only vaguely remember.

Hours provided here are all rounded up for rough estimation.

Smelting; approximately 70k exp/hour, therefore would take approximately 186 hours for 40-99. Forgot to mention that this could be sped up a little if you wore Varrock Armour 3 (at least).
Crafting; approximately 60k exp/hour, therefore would take approximately 217 hours for 23-99.
Magic; approximately 78k exp/hour, therefore would take approximately 165 hours for 55-99.

Total Hours: ~586 hours. So if you were to bot and leave it running 24/7, then all that could be accomplished in under a month.
But of course nobody would suicide that now seeing as how bans are so widespread and prevailing :laugh:
I myself kind of paced it but was consistent, 99 Smithing, 99 Crafting, 99 Magic took me approximately 2-3 months I'd say.

 

Depends of if you want it for profit or for exp.
Profit: Fire Battlestaves, Rune Legs, and many other rune items.
Exp: Blue/Green Dhide Bodies

 

by the way unless you're a mage pure or whatever I don't think you should be alching at all in rs3 as its much less efficient than killing monsters with mage and you'd profit. under 100k xp/hr is stupidly slow now considering rs3 xp rates
