Can't Use Wireless Network Printer

Well i bought the Brother MFC-6890CDW printer.

Its in the office room, connected to a wireless router in there. And the 2 computers in the office can print just fine. (Theyre both hooked up to the wireless router with cable)

Me on the other hand, is in my room, and i can't print. I get my net from a small router in here, that is connected to the Router in the office.

Hope i didn't confuse you guys too much. Heres the simpler version..

Office: Wireless router, 2 computers, printer. Printer connected to wireless router, and computers connected to the wireless router with cable.

My room: Normal router, 1 computer, connected to the router with cable, and the router is connected through the wall, to the wireless router, with cable.

But i simply can't print from it, and the other 2 computers can. They also have this little icon in the taskbar which says "Online" about the printer, and it says offline on mine. I've taken off all firewall, etc.

So me'thinks that the router in my room is being a bitch or something? But i can't access it. The wireless router in the office is 192.168.1.1, and the router in my room has no adress.

Any ideas?

UPDATE: Just lost net connection for 5 minutes (Crap net) And during that time, the taskbar icon said Online, and i could print.

UPDATE2: Installed a program called BRAdmin from Brother, and gave the printer a static ip adress. AND, via that program, i can print a test page, and that it CAN do, no idea whats going on.

 

Right click on the print and hit connect??? That sometimes helps.

 

is your second router have a built in firewall?? and if not... and you need to be sure on this next part.. your room's router should be set up as a BRIDGE Connection so that it gets ITS IP from your office router. update me. also, you can post your answer in my sticky on this thread =D and i will see it quicker

I got no idea what my rooms router is set up as, and i have no idea how to set it up, it doesn't show up when i /ipconfig all, and doesn't show up on the standard Linksys adress (192.168.1.1)

 

You need to access its gateway. Find the gateway address in windows, open up firefox and type it in the browser. If in Vista you should see it in the network tree
