Azie DNT and subsequent 'rare permanent ban'

As somebody who bought an account that got recovered, this is incorrect. They should've done what they did (send out a mass PM to everyone who bought an account from him) before it got to this point. That PM only came around last week or so (after my account already had gotten recovered). I had 600m on the account I could've moved off before it got recovered had I known the accounts he sold to people were being recovered.

 

Thank you for actually giving sound feedback even if you weren't involved in the process of everything that happened. Even though you weren't involved, you've gone out of your way to admit that things should have been done differently. You have my respect for actually being pleasant, forthcoming and honest. You don't meet a lot of staff member's with those qualities here. Thank you for bearing that burden.

 

This, I was one of the affected by his account sales. Not that I would ever blame someone or something for the risk involved with account sales. I was however here when he first became a member and began trading, which subsuqently led to him getting more and more praise. He was genuinely a trustworthy individual and I don't believe he built up his reputation only to exit scam. I wholeheartedly believe he came upon financial difficulties and had no way out except to recover and attempt to resell these accounts. Remember the world is going through some tough times, the fact that this started happening around the same time as these real world events tend to point to the reasoning behind his decisions. I cannot blame staff members for withholding judgement for so long as I too was shocked when I noticed the first DNT. I figured he was going away for a bit or someone got a hold of his account. He didn't even ghost me completely when this was going on initially which led me to believe he was just busy with url stuff. It goes to show that, as said numerous times before me, no member regardless of reputation or ranking as a staff member is exempt from making decisions that could harm the trust individuals have trading with other staff members. In the end, I was lucky as I have a steady income that allows me to throw money at Runescape in my extra time. But I truely feel for those who invested thousands of dollars and tens of hours into these accounts only to lose them to a member who was trusted as much as Azie was.

 

This seems 100% like the staffs fault. The mass pm should of went out March 9th after he was dnt'd for recovering other accounts in this thread Azie. It is beyond me why this wasnt done till later and some people didnt get it at all.

 

Glad he became global mod ASAP when returning.
