Am I being scammed?

I recently purchased 50M from someone who has a TWC on sythe, so I'm being very cautious.

He went first, he gave me 50M, and I promptly sent him $22.50 usd on paypal.

He then said that he passed his paypal limit and wants to refund me and for me to send $22.50 to another paypal. He has issued a refund which I am yet to accept. If i accept this, I will apparently get $22.50 back, to then send to his second account.

He then offered I go on teamviewer so I can see proof that his paypal is limited. Naturally, I saw teamviewer and instantly thought "scammer".

What I'm wondering is, if I send him $22.50 after accepting the refund, will he be able to "chargeback" the refund, effectively making me pay him twice?

 

Mate hes not scamming you. I've been with him on teamviewer before and it is indeed just to show you it. He won't chargeback trust me.

 

If he issued a refund as in the original payment refunded im sure youre fine

but if he sent you money instead of issue'ing a refund then yes he can charge back that payment but you will also be able to charge back the first payment you sent.

You are not obligated to do any trade back, as I would not do it. If you do plan on paying his other paypal, only do so after charging back your other payment, and he will not be able to charge you twice.

 

I doubt there's such a thing as reversing/charging back refunds.

Make sure the payment clearly says "Refund" and not "Payment"
