Avatar help?

So I've been trying to get my avatar to be transparent here on the Sythe forums, and much to my dismay everything I try has failed. It's 100x100, saved as png, and the file's background IS transparent. Yet still it shows up as white. HELP!

 

just pm a global to get it done, only globals+ can make transparent ava's for some reason

 

Ah okay. ty. Point me to one please?

You can try using the same background Sythe has, if you don't want to do that, then PM a global moderator to assist you. Here is the list of the current moderators online: http://sythe.org/showgroups.php.

 

I uploaded mine and it was transparent, perhaps something to do with Ex-admin?

 

I'm not sure^. If you have Photoshop, use the magic wand select tool to select the white, then delete it. Then save the image as a .png, that might work

EDIT: Just to show it does work, I did it:

Just right click > Save image as...

 

This makes it largely act as transparent but it has borders around the edges of it.

I'm 99% sure you need the moderator to apply it once you've made it transparent background, thats what I did but for donators, there is a thread in it where they apply them.
