SoF xp Lamp Rate Increased?

Was the xp lamp increased or something because I just logged onto two of my accounts and out of 10 spins I got 8 xp lamps which is unusual at least for me it is?

 

Lamps are actually very common, thats why people are buying spins to get xp. If you check runetracker, there are people gaining 3m+ slayer xp a day, If you've ever slayed all day the most xp you could gain is 500k. Therefore these people are buying spins and putting the lamps on the chosen skill

 

I was kinda wondering the same, logged in for my 4 free spins and got 4 lamps.

 

Me too, I got 3 out of 4 lamps today which I usually get a few 1k GP's and stuff and not so many lamps

 

I haven't been able to find any official announcements or anything regarding this. Anyone else found something?

 

Nope but maybe they did it without a announcement as a way to get more people buying spins. It might just be nothing but luck though who knows.

 

I'd go with luck if they don't say anything about it in the next couple of days, I'm sure they'd advertise it in order to get people to buy more spins.

 

Highly doubt it, JaGeX would announce it ASAP if they did, they'd do anything for people to buy more spins.

 

Possibly. I got 2 medium lamps, 1 small lamp and 1 alchemists fragment today doing my daily 4 spins. Usually it's 1000 coins, 1000 coins, a few blue dragon scales and a small exp lamp.

 

i think jagex actually auto spins for you, and its something different every couple weeks.

on one stretch, i got 50k at least once a week per account

on another stretch, i got a lot of penants of "insert skill here"

on another stretch, i got alot of normal items such as yews and scales.

on another stretch, i got alot of summer items

and during this stretch, im getting alot of lamps

 

That's actually pretty much exactly what it's been for me lol.

 

Don't think they increased it, people already still raging about "buying xp" as it is, doubt they would. I've seen the same amount of xp lamps I usually get.

 

I doubt it, I still get a wide range of items. Odds are, you just got lucky/unlucky depending on how you want to look at it and simply received lots of experience lamps from your spins. JaGeX would have announced any changes to their wonderful SoF.

 

i received 0/4 lamps today. maybe just bad luck but i don't think they increased the rate

 

I'm very willing to bet the SoF is just the same as it's always been. Unless you spin hundreds of times (and I'm serious about requiring hundreds of spins), you cannot say with certainty that the rate of lamps has changed. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sample_size_determination.

I have to agree. Unless jagex made an announcement, there's no reason to really think the rate has been altered.

If an announcement is made by Jagex in the near future, pm me and I'll open this thread back up
