    Msn link virus

Today my friend send me a link (automatically by a virus) which "should" be a photo but was a MS-Dos program. Accidently I downloaded the MS-dos program as I thought it was a photo, but i didn't open the MS-Dos program.

My question is: Am i safe? I am scanning my computer now...

And if you have any experience of the symptoms I would be glad if u can share it.

    Thanks

Scan it with whatever anti-virus you have, if you didnt open the file, but you downloaded it, you should be fine.

If it wasn't a webpage but just a dialog asking you to download the exe and you chose not to, you should be safe.

It was a webpage, it asked me to download the "picture". I was dumb enough to do it lol. But then i saw that it wasnt a jpg file but a MS-dos program and immediately deleted it.

    Am i safe o_O?

    I doubt it.

I suppose you have to run it though?
