Make Vouches Mean Something

I don't know about any of you; but I feel that vouches are given out too often when not deserved. I feel as if the amount of vouches given out is reduced, because it's basically a pointless feedback that members gain so they can scam.

What i'm proposing is that vouches should not be given out when:

A middleman is used. The two members that used the middleman should vouch for the middleman, since he's the one that's being trusted. The two members using him aren't doing anything that proves they're legitimacy. This goes for all sorts of "middlemen", such as OMM's, Free MM's, or even Player Auctions, really.

This also applies to when someone goes first. I'll place an example on this part.

Player A is the extremely trusted seller. ($300 donor, global moderator, highly trusted rank)
Player B is the noob buyer.

Player B buys 300M off of Player A via WU. Player B vouches for Player A, and Player A vouches for Player B. Player B really didn't deserve a vouch because he's only proving that he bought something going first. It doesn't prove in any way that he won't scam if he doesn't go first.

Thoughts?

No support, it proves that he had the intention of not scamming if he completed the trade.

I vouch how FireZ said. I am actually re-arranging my vouch thread into sections, it looks nicer that way. It's just a bastard to do in word.

 

I'd also like to see more people dividing vouch threads up into trades they went first and trades they went 2nd/used a MM

Wouldnt mind seeing this, however I dont have a problem with the current vouch system.

I would love to see people actually put how much they paid/sold for.
I hate just seeing what the trade was initially for ("Vouch for Firez, he sold me an account"
I want to see details on the vouches.

Edit: and I would also like it for vouches that are from YOU(me) going first don't count.

Me giving Firez 1bil first, and him vouching for me, doesn't mean anything.
He didn't have to put any trust into my hands.
I would vouch for him, since I trusted 500$ in his hands.

We cannot and will not "force" vouch templates. However if enough of us "more trusted" and community minded folk would band together to follow these standards ONLY, then eventually more and more people would catch on and it would slowly become better.

Will take months to get the majority to vouch decently though.

If there was a rule for getting the vouch thread with templates I think that would be a pretty neat feature, it would show everything really nicely etc.

And sythe.org cannot change this, only the members can.

 

This is pretty similar to a post I made a while back. I would love to see a template enforced, shame it can't happen.

 

A template would be a great idea. Rather than people just posting vouches that really don't make sense, he/she does not deserve it, so forth.

It would be great, if an actual template like that can be enforced. People can easily read it and see the actual vouches.
