Botting in 07

Hi, sorry for generic title.

It seems recently I have been getting the ban hammer quite hard and fast, an obby mauler i created and legit level'd strength to 60, until I botted for 4 hours at waterbirth island and got the 2 day ban, subsequently botting for 1 more hour at experiments a few days after it (after the 2 day ban i wasnt too bothered about the account) getting the ban hammer again.
Of course I know its not smart to bot after the 2 day ban, but just wanted to see.

Anyway I thought, well it was a brand new account so that probably didn't help it, I managed to scrounge up a slightly older account (3 years) and started to level this as a gmauler pure.
I did many quests and level'd legit using chins to 74 range since I had a fair amount of gp anyway, I eventually botted at experiments for 3 hours, logged it out for about an hour and then did fire cape later on.
Needless to say next day I was banned 2 days on it.

So my real question is, what is my main problem?

I have had money making bots before (which to be fair lasted extremely long (front page exp, that sort of long). Is my IP now flagged for good and that's why I'm getting banned fast. Should I try to bot via a VPN?

Is 07's anti bot really THAT good now? I understand that it is getting much better, but of course I know friends who are still managing to bot for hours with no real difficulty.

Should I try a different bot? Currently using Tribot, I don't know if changing it would make any real impact.

I know its semi-long sorry, thoughts and opinions would be greatly appreciated.

 

Personally I think that Jagex has really upped their game in terms of anti-ban. I've been botting for years on Runescape and since the release of 2007 I can safely say they have some type of software detection; whether they can detect the use of bots or are simply analysing playing style I am not sure but it really isn't worth botting anymore. I don't think I've had any accounts at all so far that have not been banned, either instantly (within a few days) or delayed (over a week or so) both members/trial accounts, using varying bots and scripts both paid and free.

 

Yeah, It's just that I know people that are botting fine, but now that i'm a 'target' I'm pretty much useless as far as botting goes :/
