What are rare names worth now a days

I got some rare names one of which is "ranger" what are rare names worth now a days?

 

Whatever you can get i think.

 

Depends what the name is.
A moderately rare name might go for 10m-20m.
A very rare one could go for a lot more.
But it all depends on the buyer, some people might value/like names more than others.

 

Ranger is probably extremely rare. Like right now, I own the names Derp, Meme and Summoning...People usually want to buy Summoning for around 25 - 50m. or around $30 - $60..But it just all depends :\.

Derp and meme I've got offers for around 10m - 20m

 

TBH, they're a lot cheaper. Whereas that name might go for 50-100m before the display name update, you probably couldn't fetch more than 20m for it now.

 

The price of names have dropped considerably... The only names that currently hold value are multispaced names.

The price of that name, say, in 2008 would of been about $70. Today though, I would say about $30-40.

 

^ How much are multispaced names worth? I've got a couple of two letter ones with 6+ spaces in each.

I had a two letter name I tried selling before the name changing update and people were offering like $40-50.

Now I sold it a couple weeks ago and could only get 20M for it.

 

Depends on the name I am guessing. There are only a few I would pay 50m/$50 + for and the rest only a couple of mil. Actually there is only 2 I have actually gone/bid that high yet to date

Like for example skill names like Summoning, Firemaking etc. can cash in ALOT for those names
Of course 1 letter/number names will always be expensive.
You could get alot for Ranger though.

 

Red Rooster is probobly still the rarest name in runescape.

A lot of people are overpricing names in this thread, names have drastically lost value after the display name update...

I'd say $50 max (meaning it'd have to be a login name; not display name)

 

It also depends who offers what, someone may really love that name. The display name update hit rare names hard.

 

I am currently selling some maxed multispaced names (10 spaces) for 15m-20m each.

Of course it really depends on the name/number of spaces.

 

i recently paid 20m for a 10space 2 letter name.. i would think you could get around 40m for 'ranger' if its the actual login

 

Just wondering, why is this? Whats so special about that name?

 

Back in the day if you made a runescape account, it would show an example name, and the name it would show was "red rooster"

 

I definitely feel like the names "God" or "Runescape" or "Holy" along with "Trade" and "Follow" are probably more rare than "Red Rooster". Despite it being the example name.
