Aufzen - Requesting High Pardon

I am posting this on behalf of 'Aufzen'.

I'm not sure whether my pardon not showing up means I've been denied (if it does, my sincere apologies and please disregard this thread) so I am appealing again through my close friend Crab whom I've asked to post this thread on my behalf.

Firstly I must state that I submitted a high pardon I believe two days ago. I waited and saw that other threads were being approved while mine was not. Perhaps it was because I was on a proxy - because my IP seems to be caught in the filter and I cannot view Sythe.org without using a proxy. I'm not sure whether my pardon not showing up means I've been denied (if it does, my sincere apologies and please disregard this thread) so I am appealing again through my close friend Crab whom I've asked to post this thread on my behalf.

I was banned after someone reported me here as a ban evader.

I was originally banned a few years ago here. In summary, that thread explains my original ban reason and why Pen unbanned me. A brief explanation would be that DarkGroove banned me after an argument revolving around a screenshot he posted of my account which I wanted him to remove. An agreement was reached where he said he would remove the post if he got to ban me.

I was then re banned for self vouching by Skele after Sin666 reported me here. My only explanation here is that at the time I really did not remember self vouching between Danski and SAYANK as it was in 2009. Additionally, I was honestly a lot more immature and inexperienced with forums back then and I naively thought that by vouching for myself, it would help me sell my gold quicker.

Then begun the string of future accounts I created. Off the top of my head, they are Unity, Haxes and Aufzen. My apologies If I have forgotten any others.

I personally see myself as a trustworthy, active and loyal member of Sythe.org. While of course this does not justify my actions, on almost every account I've had here at Sythe.org, I have used only to participate in legitimate trades and sell/buy various goods. On my most recent account Aufzen, I sold billions of Runescape gp in the market and accumulated a great deal of vouches; most of which are for trades worth thousands of dollars. My reputation was so prestigious that I had extremely trustworthy members such as King Tijn and KeroKeroCola going first to me in trades worth well over a thousand dollars. I also conducted business with other respected members of the forums such as Video and RsProd, as well as everyone else seen in my vouches here. A few weeks ago I also decided to donate $200.00 to Sythe.org using Plznates gold donation service; as a token of my appreciation for all this community has done for me.

My plea to the staff of Sythe.org is as follows:

Even though I have shown disregard for the rules Ban Evasion and Self Vouching, hopefully I have also shown remorse for my actions and depicted my good character and intentions towards the forums and everyone who resides in them. Perhaps the offences which I am regretfully guilty of, in contrast to the ones of which I am not (scamming, hacking, phishing etc) could be seen as still serious, yet not as malicious. It is apparent that high pardons are typically given out to members who have contributed a lot to Sythe.org, and whom would be beneficial to the site if unbanned. While I cannot say I have contributed an exponential amount, I can honestly say that I believe my contributions in the Market Section through being an outstandingly legitimate member (from what I've seen, a rare quality in the Market) when conducting trades of high value; render me at least somewhat of a beneficial member to the forums as I always strive to provide the finest and most legitimate service to those whom require it.

My final words are these; I accept full responsibility for my actions and the consequences that will be bestowed upon me because of them. Whatever the outcome of this high pardon, I will respectfully accept it. Perhaps there is a spot left here for me on Sythe.org, and if not - it has been a pleasure.

    Aufzen - Requesting High Pardon

To be fair, I gave $2000 to Aufzen by "going first" in a GP trade. He paid me in full soon after, so despite him being an evader, he's almost certainly not going to scam.

However, the maturity in this post strikes me... I haven't seen many posts from Aufzen that were at this level. Indeed, if you head over to his http://www.bugabuse.net or talk to him when he's not selling GP, the maturity level (or near complete lack of maturity) is scary. I'm not sure if Aufzen really takes things seriously enough to really have "learned his lesson".

Besides, take another look at BA.net. Specifically, the Hacking & Recovery section. I'm not a fan, at all.

    Aufzen - Requesting High Pardon

I am posting this on behalf of 'Aufzen'.

    Kero,

I have always handled my online business maturely and professionally. This isn't limited to when I am 'selling gp'. I don't know what you are specifically referring to but it perhaps it is this thread here? If so, that was written jokingly and I didn't mean to offend anyone or insinuate that that is how I typically type or is my general attitude towards things.

In regards to www.bugabuse.net, I find it a little unfair that you are in a way saying that I support hacking or recovering accounts just because I am an Admin on a site that has a section for said activities. I have never posted in that section nor shown even the slightest interest in anything to do with it. The forum is co run between five Administrators, I am not the owner of the forum nor head Administrator. I can't determine which activities are permitted on the forums - all I can do is distance myself and not support them, which I have always done.

Please understand what I am saying because I'd hate to have my appeal denied on the count of a misunderstanding and mere speculation about my maturity.

My opinion is that if you're dead set against hacking, you wouldn't want to be an admin on that site.

No support on this dispute from me.

The conversation went on, but posting more would just be beating a dead horse. Obviously, this was "speculation" enough for me not to want to pursue buying GP from you anymore, and I don't think I should permit the rest of Sythe to take that risk.

As for Corey's insight: I agree, to a point. I don't want to assume Aufzen is "dead-set" on hacking, but it's disturbing that such a disgusting act is so championed on a website that he helped build. Again, it wasn't ever enough to ban Aufzen because he did stay far enough away from that particular section, but it's more than enough for me to be wary of letting Aufzen have the honor of being pardoned. Furthermore on that note, a lot of other reputable members of Sythe are on BA.net, including Crab. I'm not going to ban him, but his closeness with BA.net is why I'd also never honor him with a pardon.

I have had a candid conversation with Aufzen, and he told me that he is willing to resign as administrator to prove his distaste for the "darker" side of BA.net and his allegiance with the morals we practice here at Sythe.

Like I said before, my biggest problem of granting this pardon was that pardons should only be granted to those who we can deem have moral compasses pointing to "true north." Being so close to an account recovery parade makes you "west-northwest" at best. I always knew Aufzen was a BA.net because of his historical ties with the other four admins (see Crab's signature link for a synopsis), but I was still finnicky because he was administrator.

Him stepping down as administrator makes me inclined to change my mind. I say yes, he deserves this pardon. Like I said, I trusted him with $2000 in the past. He's not here to scam, since he's perhaps made more money off of Runescape than anyone else.

I've done 8k worth of trades with him, so the trust isn't a problem, it's his maturity level apparently....
