    1. Origin and History of the cigarette.

    The first tobacco plant was began growing in 6000BC, during the New World era. Native American's began smoking and chewing tobacco during the first century BC. Tobacco was everywhere in the United States by first century AD. Tobacco is first introduced to Columbus in October of 1492, however, it wasn't until November of 1492 that Rodrigo de Jerez becomes the first person from the West to smoke. By 1531 Europeans began growing Tobacco plants on Santo Domingo. Tobacco is first brought to France in 1556, then later brought to Spain in 1558.

    2. Effects of smoking.

    Smoking can cause MANY diseases, some being:
    • Lung Cancer
    • Coronary Heart Disease
    • Mouth Cancer
    • And many others in the throat, bladder, kidney, and pancreas.
    Smoke contains over 4000 chemicals, 40 that are known to cause cancer, and 200 that are poison.

    3. Brands and prices.

    4. Interesting facts.

    1. According to experts, nicotine is about as addictive as heroine.

    2.Cigarettes are the single-most traded item on the planet, with approximately 1 trillion being sold from country to country each year. At a global take of more than $400 billion, it’s one of the world’s largest industries.

    3. Urea, a chemical compound that is a major component in urine, is used to add “flavor” to cigarettes.

    4. Sugar approximates to roughly 20% of a cigarette, and many diabetics are unaware of this secret sugar intake.


    5. Biography.

    This is stupid IMO. More of a 7th grade health class project. Most of this most people know try finding facts that people don't know

    Personally, when I was reading it became somewhat of a History and Science class put together. In my honest opinion, this is more of a Information sheet than a guide.

    Those "experts" are so wrong it's not even funny. I'd recommend removing that as it's simply propaganda spread by the anti-cigarette lobby. That being said, fairly interesting guide.

    What's not even in discussion is the withdrawal effects of each

    Speaking of which, I'm quitting smoking today myself.
