Astral Projection

Astral Projection is the ability to leave your physical body, and travel to the Astral Plane. Now many people get Astral and Etheric (I think it's spelled right) projection mixed up. Astral Projection is leaving the physical plane entirely. Etheric Projection is leaving your body; but staying in the physical plane. Now, I'll be honest; I've only barely done it twice, and I'm still a beginner at it. But, I am interested to see if anyone here at Sythe believes in it, and if they could share their methods.



My method is pretty simple; listen to some binaural beats and lie down, relax, concentrate on the back of my head, and wait for the vibrations.

Can you explain why you do not believe in it?

 

Because I don't believe in any soul/out of body shit.

 

It's not your soul leaving your body, it's kind of a mindfuck. You can also get it by using fairly high doses of Ketamine or Dextromethorphan (DXM).

I tried using binaural beats that should induce an OBE, but I never had one and they didn't work. What did work was a binaural beat that induced a lucid dream. Too bad the lucid dream was very short and I couldn't get another one after it. This happened 2-3 days ago.

It's one thing to describe the state of a deep meditative trance, it's another to talk about a load of bull shit.

 

I've done astral projection twice. Second time I got the technique down but had to use Kundalini energy. Sadly, I didn't know how to control the energy so I became cocky, arrogant, idiotic, self-righteous, and it resulted in me having a demonic visit.

Many of you theists and atheists may not believe in this and ask for proof, but really, it's just one of those experiences. People say they don't believe in ghosts, they don't believe in spirits, they don't believe in astral projection; but it's experience that tells.

 

There's no disbelief in the possibility that one might have an out-of-body experience (achievable through multiple means, psychedelics, meditation...). There's disbelief when people claim that such experiences denote the existence of something else.

 

It isn't about your soul leaving. It is a relaxation effect in my opinion

I'm also pretty sure i've experienced some type of projection, usually while just lying down and chilling.

Why? I've entered lucid dreams, I've been in states of mind where everything that doesn't make sense suddenly does. I don't need to offer a scientific explanation, and don't need to pretend like psychology is my expertise.

Life has taught me that human experience proves nothing, not even my own. I've been misjudged and have misjudged others at the same time. Perspective is not truth, nor is it applicable to fact.

Astral projection/OOBE does exist, eventhough I never witnissed it. You can try it yourself, just chug down 4 bottles of cough syrup with DXM and you'll notice something changing eventually...

Here is a article that may provide scientific evidence that this is actually possible. (I haven't read it in months)

In essence, there is a part of your brain that can produce DMT (a highly hallucinogenic drug.) When you relax/concentrate enough, it releases DMT. This is a possible explanation for astral projection and Buddhism.

I don't believe, both because this is the first time that I have ever heard of such a practice, and that it is just as probable that you are putting yourself into a self-induced "high" rather than traveling to another plane.
