Range Tank Help

I am thinking creating a range tank,

Am i right in thinking that i should get around

60-70 defence and around 80+ range? thanks in advance

 

99 Range and 99 Defence, 99 Magic and 99 HP. :e

Realistically, 70/80 Defence is best (Torags Helm, Legs, Karil/Black D'hide Top)
90+ Range for best results. (MSB + Rune arrows switched to Dark bow + dragon arrows + Rune C'bow + Dragon (E) Bolts)

So if i get 70 or 80 defence and 90+ range

and wear Torags helm, black dhide top and torags leg with a rune cbow and addy bolts..

Will that be better that

It would be better using the Magic Short and rune arrows than Rune C'Bow and adamant bolts, due to the MSB being faster when set on "Rapid"

However, using a Rune C'Bow with Diamond Bolts (e) is also a good choice, as that can hit up to 35-37 i believe, but you'll want to try and use the Dragon (E) Bolts for the KO, as they can hit in excess of 50+ with the special they have.

ive began the pure training

Current stats are

defence - 49
range - 43
hitpoints - 42
combat lvl - 43

 

If i were you, i'd get 50 Defence, then solely concentrate on training your Range, up to 70/80, THEN try Pking. Because you may like being 50 defence, and it can open up a whole lot of other Pking methods, and could even include melee. Remember, to get that Firecape, Barrows gloves, and avas accumulator for Pking.

Currently 48 ranging and 49 defence

Heading for around 60 range then going to do the defence to 50..

but as im f2p atm it is becoming a strugle to get the exp

seems like its going to be hard to get those equipemnts

Go power-range Hobgoblins opposite the crafting guild. Go into the Crafting guild cow section, close the gate, range the Hobgoblins from across the river. You'll lose the arrows, but it's probably the fastest F2P power-range spot.

 

How much money do you have on your hands atm

 

Not a lot around about... 400k id say but i have 15k of iron arrows and around 6k of steel

And ill try hob goblins right away

 

id recommend bronze arrows, much cheaper and you only lose about 1 extra hit from iron, very cost efficient, give it a try.

 

Good, Hobgoblins are great. I got 45-70 Range there in 20K Bronze Arrows.

92 range 96 def 94 mage 99 hp here
id say yaks for range up to 99
for def do dh at gorillas
for mage mage planks
hp.. not really a tank range trait i just got with my melee stats
buh im not a tank range 76 atk n 77 str im just a main with poor melee stats lol
