A new section or sub section needs to be created in market tools to avoid these threads in this specific forum.

This does not fall under the criteria of market discussion. It takes away from seeing actual discussions about the market.

My suggestion is to create a new forum within market tools called "Occupation".

In this forum there should be two sub sections, one called "Seek Employment", and the other "Request Workers". To create threads in this forum, you need to meet certain requirements. One being, you need to be a member of this site for at least 5 months, or the other requiring 500 or more post count. This would avoid new members from trying to exploit their threads for post count, and or seek work with their level of credibility.

    Thoughts?

It's not nessecary. Market discussion forum is dead anyways. I don't think it would be crowded too. There are only 1/2 people asking for work. The job offers are 1 or 2 too.

    No support from me.

What are you talking about? I see 7 threads asking for work, or recruiting workers/partners on the first page.

My original point was it does not belong in Market Discussion.

What discussion is within these threads?

The description of Market Discussion says, "Discuss the market and related topics here."

There is no correlation between the two.

What could work is a sticky rather than sections

I thought about that at first, but later came to the conclusion that it would be too confusing, even with two separate stickies.

I can see an occupation forum having a lot more upsides than downsides. It wouldn't be limited to just one game, and that is where the confusion can come within those stickies.

If someone maintained an OP it wouldn't be too confusing.

I think a separate forum is too much for the volume of activity.

An actual forum would be more flexible, and have a lot more variety than one thread where everyone is posting in.

Take a look at price checks, name price checks are more relevant than the name price check topic in name sales. Why? Because when you have your own separate thread you are more than likely to expect an answer.

Asking for work or recruiting workers would not be limited to just games. That is the variety I am speaking of.

I think there should be a poll for it.

Okay, there are 7 threads there now, but look on page 2, 3 and so on.
Not that much threads, atleast not enough to warrant a section.
A sticky would be confusing imo. just keep it in there.

It's becoming a trend that does not belong in that forum. Everyone focuses on keeping all forums too tight, which causes confusion on where to post certain topics. Loosen up, and think of the possibilities that can come out of this.

I still stand by the whole sticky idea being a muck later on.

Here are a few problems I want to address.

    1. Would the current threads be merged in the sticky? Wouldn't that create a mess?

    2. There is more to a job application than just what you prefer and your working hours. This should all be decided by the applicant. Same can be said with the recruiter.

    3. Don't you think it would be a mess to have people talk in between other people? Everyone is not going to add each other on a messing service just to ask questions. It would be more preferred on the thread.

Nope, the other threads would be closed.

    Hence the contact information

I should have been clearer. The thread I'm posting is only for people to list their services/post job listings. They should be contacting each other through private message/Skype.

My point being was, why should anyone be contacting other people without knowing their experience? It's definitely a waste of time, in their shoes I rather have others know about my experience before contacting them. This is also done in real life.

I'd be happy to add more to the forms. How does a section for previous work experience sound?

I think more forms would be sufficient.
