I contemplated pricing up a $12,000 build just to be a douche about the lack of information you have provided, but decided against it. Help me out with some more info (like budget >_>) and I'll hook you up.

Question. With a $1500 budget, why no crossfire or sli? Even still, why just a 560ti? I know it's a good card but come on, where is the money going?

He said $1500. I put together the specs for the best computer I thought I could build with that budget. There is absolutely no reason for Crossfire or SLi with that gfx card and the i7. It will run what he wanted it to run no problem. I mean the i7 is $300 alone. The graphics card is up there too. It's not about one single component, it's about everything working together.

I'm not a moron. What I'm saying is there is definitely room in the budget for 2 gpu's, no reason not to use them. i7 can also be swapped with an i5 for hardly any real-world performance loss but a $100 savings. Plus the gpu is only 1gb which is pushing it if you want a dual monitor setup. A 2x 6850 or 6870 setup would beat the shit out of a 560 ti, even though it's a bit more money, it's near comparable if not better than a single 570. So say you spend $350 on gpu's, you still have $1150 to build the rest of the PC which is more than enough for good pc. SSD's are unnecessary and so is 16GB of Ram. But keep the RAM.

    Proc: i5 2500k - $220

    RAM: Corsair vengeance 16gb - $90

    Case: Rosewill THOR - $130

    Cooling: Corsair H60 - $75

    Total thus far - $950

So that leaves $550 to spend on a GPU setup. Your choice decides the final price.
I listed them in order from worst to best option. Take the total thus far and add it to the cost of the gpu setup you choose to get your grand total.
For option 3, the better brand would leave you with a total of 4GB vram, rather than 2gb vram if you go with the cheaper one. VisionTek is also a better brand.
If you go with the first option, that leaves you with money to upgrade the processor from an i5 2500k to an i7 2600k. There will be a slight performance advantage, but not nearly enough to make it a selling point of the build. Option 2 and the first part of option 3 would be a happy medium. second part of option 3 is best, and option 1 is the cheapest. Regardless of what you pick for the GPU, it will be able to run Skyrim and any other game on maximum settings, easy.

    GPU option 1: 2x VisionTek HD 6870 1GB - $440 total
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814129166

    GPU option 2: 2x Asus GTX 560ti 1GB - $500 total
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121425

    GPU option 3:
    cheapish brand - 2x Gigabyte HD 6950 1GB - $480 total
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125385
    better brand - 2x VisionTek HD 6950 2GB - $600 total

If there is anyone to help you get a good pc it's Ivy Bridge, so make sure to PM him.

Are you looking to buy a pre-built one, or would you prefer to build your own?

If your going to spend $1,500.00 why not an alianware Laptop? arnt they like portable desktops basicly?

For laptops the Price to performance ratio is not even close to a built desktop. Desktops are usually cheaper and generate more power than expensive laptops.
