Thanks for your questions, I will attempt to answer them. Firstly, people don't choose to be transgender in the same way someone doesn't choose their sexuality, it is something you are born with. I knew from a very early age that I feel very misaligned with my physical form and very dysphoric about the gender I was perceived to be. Transition was and is simply a way to align your physical identity with your psychological one. It has also been scientifically proven that transgender individuals brain activity mirrors that of their gender, not their physical sex at birth.

Also, sexuality and gender are very different things. Just because an individual is a certain gender, in no means they will or should be attracted to a certain gender.

In regards to your latter question, what I would call 'Bottom surgery' is a very personal and important issue amongst all DMAB transgender individuals. While I will decline to comment on any surgeries I may personally have had, I can tell you whether someone has surgery varies between transgender individuals. It is not a pre-requisite to being transgender and some transgender individuals may feel fine with never having the surgery, while others desperately want and need it as a way to stem and tackle terrible dysphoria.
