Artificial Intelligence - The Future of Botting

@Throwback: Again I could argue with you forever but we are getting NOWHERE. If you don't think young prodigy programmers exist look at Mark Zuckerburg. Many of these people have a natural nag for this. As far as unpredictability it's really how you define it. For example a program can be created to generate a random integer. Thus it is "unpredictable" in a sense. However the fact that the program will always generate a random integer is 100% predictable (pseudorandom number generator ). When you look at it like this then yes, it is predictable. However if you define behaviour strictly of this one integer then it's value is unpredictable. This is a very rudimentary example but it does serve to show that the behaviour of a program does not have to be predictable. The reason that so many make the claim that you have is because of the binary nature of computers. If there is only 2 possibilities (On, Off, Stop, Start.) then how can any program be unpredictable...I can understand this view but if any mathematical operations can replicated in binary then I refuse to believe that algorithms haven't been developed that cause computer programs to behave in a way that are impossible to predict.

Also with in theory quantum computing can solve many of the problems that weren't possible to solve before (problems not in polynomial time for example Shore's algorithm). This may mean that everything we think we know about the binary nature of computers is changed.

@MikeAKATheBoss: I really should have cited my sources regardless. But yeah I know that small fact from personal experience. =p

JaminB - Do you have a Bachelor of Engineering (Software)/(Mechatronic Space) ? If you do, I'd love to talk to you about your thoughts on AI. However, much of your info seems to be quite 'rudimentary', as you so often like to put it yourself. I guess my dual degree means nothing to you since you pretend to know everything.
The attempt of utilizing artificial intelligence in a code-rendering/applicable context is futile while extremely arrogant to say the least. To claim that a macro based on a game designed generally for the 12 year old population utilizes, or even attempts to utilize; any artificial intelligence mechanism, is ridiculous and laughable.
@Throwback; don't bother about these RiD supporters. To believe that their bots are the way they verbally claim already shows their ignorance and lack of knowledge. Thus arguing is pointless.

Sorry but i just had to...
If you know anything about artificial intelligence, the two contextual definitions of 'random' and 'intelligent' do not even borderline with one another. It does not even serve as a 'rudimentary' example...
Quantum computing has NOTHING to do with AI. Where on earth did you get this from? Do you understand basic quantum theory? Do you understand quantum applications to mechatronics and software? Where do you even find this information? Shore's algorithm??? Polynomial time??? Dude, I know you think you're talking to a bunch of 15 year olds here... But not all of us are that stupid ok? In a matter of two lines, you've managed to string together three concepts which have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with each other. Randomly quoting concepts from university level physics/software engineering and placing them next to each other just doesn't make the cut for me...

Here's a really basic understanding of Shore's algorithm and the applications quantum computing has on it...
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shor's_algorithm
Take serious note of the section named 'Quantum part: Period-finding subroutine'

Raziex, you asked me if I currently hold a degree in software engineering...I do not. I am currently working on my a B.S in Computer Science. I'm a bit confused by what you are saying. I'm not trying to come across as a know-it-all.

I was never claiming they did. I was trying to explain to Throwback that a program can easily be made to generate a random output.

Before I go on I should also mention that this forum has gotten away from its original purpose: to explain the "basics behind A.I used in some bots." It has evolved into a conversation about "what is true intelligence?" "what can be accomplished in A.I that can't be done in normal scripts?" "And the nature of A.I programming"

I will be the first to admit I DON'T KNOW EVERYTHING in this topic. However I do know a good deal and when I find something interesting I like to share it.

I mentioned Quantum Computing because I look at (correct me if I'm wrong) as the next big step in computer science. It leaked into this forum because 1.
I find it fascinating and something I have written many papers on. Second because whether you believe it or not it will allow complex algorithms to function much faster which can definitely benefit people in who are searching a way to program "true A.I." I simply used Shore's Algorithm as an example because it is one of these algorithms that is designed to function on one of these theoretical machines.

Since you have a such experience please share your knowledge and if you disagree with me please feel free to further argue with me.

This is an interesting concept, and I look forward to it being developed further. An AI bot would be extremely cool.

Stop using incorrect terminology. I'm not saying that RiD aren't great. It's just a lie and completely false advertising to claim that RiD actually uses AI. ffs...

    inb4 advertising (oops too late).

Stop advertising robotzindisguize everywhere, I prefer bots that you can actually minimize and have a lot more function. I cannot comprehend why the hell you call "robotz" AI. It's overpriced, shitty, powerbot is a MUCH better alternative. Please, don't put more shit on my plate.

They're all good. I'm not advertising for RiD...I'm just trying to show the advantages to using bots able to make decisions in real-time are superior to bots that use scripts to determine every decision they make. Alot of newer bot clients use "A.I" as replacement.

I bumped this back up because of the bots out there that now rely on A.I for making decisions. This is some really cool stuff.
