    My Present.

So I've been bantering about how I wanted to get an X-1 Pocket Bike and use it as a winter project to keep me busy. So my girlfriend found one online that was -exactly- what I was looking for, and a decent price too. So here's some pictures of what I got.

I got it on Friday and I've been working almost non stop since so I haven't gotten to put any work into it yet. Just tearing it down, seeing what needs to be done, and some cosmetic cleaning.

I'm thinking I'm going to paint it flat black and airbrush some skulls onto the gas tank fairing.

Not to be rude, but may I ask how much that cost you out of your wallet, because personally I think those are the stupidest things in the world, and if you paid over $1,000 for it, you might as well have gotten a real bike. (My cousin has one and they're stupid; in my opinion)

I would have to agree with everyone.
I would have gotten a street bike because these small pocket bikes break within a year, or you will have to continuously put money in it.
My friend had 2 in a 6 month period, they both broke.

I would never pay even close to that much, $80.

It's just a project for now so it's not running, but after all is said and done I'll be doing around 50.

I'm a car person who needs something to keep myself entertained on a budget, can't afford motorcycle insurance on top of two cars... Plenty of reasons.

Your friend didn't know how to take care of them. I know people who use theirs multiple times a week and have had them for years. I take care of my things very well.

stupidest is not a word :)
no, I don't think that even a new one costs anything near $1000.

your friend probably didn't know that pocket bikes need engine oil and gasoline in the tank, not just gasoline.

    or any other fuel, idk

Good post... The 2 strokes use a 20:1 gas: oil ratio.

Also, there is a lot more maintenance for these than people think. However, I drive an Italian car so I'm used to it.
