WebGL

WebGL is a new technology that basically allows for websites to create interactive, changing, 3D content, without any plugins. Its essentially the future of the web. I really didn't pay much attention until this one experiment with it just blew my mind. It doesn't get good until you are in the desert, but at that point it is FUCKING epic. However, for people with slow internet or shitty PC's, they will struggle.

 

UPDATE:

I can do this on my laptop. At first my computer couldn't switch it, so I switched computers. If I do something cool, i'll share it.

 

Took my computer forever to load it.... But Gmail was taking forever too.... Damn my shitty internet. Soon people will be playing FPS games coded in JS. >_>.

 

I'm on a laptop and it seemed to load up pretty fast.

Yea.... Cable was just put up on my street and my parents keep saying, "Oh we will get it soon. You guys will pay for it. We are going to stick to our old internet though, just so that it will be fast for everyone." I'm like.... /facepalm. Cable would be like 5 or 6 times faster than the DSL we have now, which is normally fast... It was having a moment. >_>.

You control that shit with your mouse, which is more epic.

Use Chrome. It uses a new web technology that IE has not supported yet and I don't know if Firefox has. Its really epic and worth the install just to see it.

Downloaded chrome just to see this but it doesnt rlly work :S
All i get to see is a short laggy movie and when I move my mouse i don't see anything special, after that i get a black screen.

Am i doing something wrong or can't my laptop handle it? :'(

That was crazy. I can't stop watching erm playing it I guess I should say. I could see this changing how we watch videos online

 

Its supposed to me more than a movie. It ends up with you in a desert with you being able to fly around the 3D landscape.
